Also, add me on steam if you really want to. Always nice to talk to people.
okay quick everyone, what is one of your favorite games of all time
Personally I'd have to say TF2, I know you're probably like "wow dude but its a multiplayer game!"
For me, it's mostly because one, it's the only game that I've played every single year no matter what, I've been playing TF2 for 8 consecutive years and even when I told myself that I'd quit (and this has happened many times) I still manage to come back and rack up even more playtime.
I can seem to play it no matter what
Second, it has what I consider in my opinion to be some of the most easily recognizable and well designed game characters of all time, I can't think of many other MULTIPLAYER games that have such a diverse and unique cast of characters, each with their own backstory/ personality that oozes through everything they do (notice how every character walks/talks/etc, the Heavy with his lumbering form and almost comical walk, lugging around his minigun/ the Spy with his slim form and his almost snakelike movement etc)
Third, it was a game that came out at a time when the latest and greatest thing was going for highly realistic graphics and "gritty" modern shooters, TF2 came out with it's unique cel-shaded style akin to the Incredibles which is still widely recognizable today.
There's alot more I can say but seriously, those three reasons above are just some of my personal reasons why TF2 is one of my favorite games of all time.
silent hill 2 it's basically perfect.
my only gripe with it is that resources are a bit abundant but its story, voice acting, sound design, soundtrack, and all the little things the devs took risks on creating just come together to create a smothering atmosphere that just pulls you in and never lets go.
and i fucking love it for it

I'd offer to take you to Bigfoot Lodge but it's become Cooky Canucks recently.

Most online friends I have seem to be from Sweden, America and Australia side. There are like 2 people that are from Germany, but they are rad friends.
i don't know why it's all slavs and spaniards for me
my favorite game of all time is timesplitters 2 and future perfect, fuck you they're both perfect. they are absolutely beautiful games, the perfect extension of the style of fps popularized by goldeneye and perfect dark. the singleplayer in both of them are absolutely fun and memorable having different objectives and unlockables for different difficulty definitely encouraged replaying. they are probably the most replayable singleplayer games of all time. the sheer amount of things to unlock and do is incredible. you have fucktons of characters, levels, missions, gamemodes, cheats, and minigames to unlock, all of it possible through singleplayer. the bots were actually pretty fun to fight against, too. and all the guns, god damn there were so many. co-op and mp were great, too. i love the game series so much, it was a very big part of my childhood. i still play through them from time to time.

Super Metroid for the SNES.
okay quick everyone, what is one of your favorite games of all time
bet you couldn't guess mine was a Persona game!!!
for real though, Persona 3 is my favorite game. Might be surprising given that I always have Yukiko in my avatar and stuff since she's from 4, but man, P3 hit me really good. For a long time I never really had a discernible favorite game. I had like 3 I could list and I'd have favorite bits from all of them, but never one that I felt like, tied to my heart. P3 ended up being that game though. Everything about it was perfect for me.
First reason I'd say is the music. The mix of rock music and hip-hop mix together to bring this distinct urban kind of sound that not only reflects the feel of living in a city, but also just reeks of style. I can remember almost every track from the game and often when I'm out and about, I can hear the music playing in my head, almost like I'd hear it in the game. Just fantastic, pleases my ears greatly
Second is the gameplay. While I cannot objectively say it plays better than 4 (The lack of direct control can lead to some problems that aren't your fault which can be very frustrating, and it's also a bit clunkier), it feels a lot better to me, especially when I kinda got the idea behind the lack of control over your other party members, which I'll touch on in a second. To start, you have the combat which is similar in some respects to how Nocturne plays, where you exploit weaknesses to get extra actions in battle, though it functions fundamentally differently. The combat is plenty fun and persona fusion is always a blast, one of my favorite parts of the series. The thing that got me to really appreciate the game though was that lack of party control I mentioned. Despite clunkier, it gives a unique feeling to you and your party members. Your friends in the game end up feeling less like tools to use in battle and more like actual people trying to fight alongside you. You also even have to ask your friends to heal you outside of battle, like, actually ask them. You don't use a menu to get them to do that. It made me grow more attached to everyone, and honestly sometimes playing off their mistakes in battle was fun for me to do since it'd cause me to rethink my strategies.
There's also the obvious social link system, which is the big thing that Persona 3 introduced to the series along with the new combat. Having a High School life to maintain as you progress through the game is really fun. Every day feels important, and how you spend your days always feels like it matters. When you're hanging out with friends, you're not just making your friend happy, but you're also making yourself more powerful in combat, since each friend you make represents a different type of persona. Finding the balance between your school life and your dungeon crawling life can be pretty challenging, and it keeps me hooked.
Third and finally, there's the story. Man, what a fantastic story! I can't really delve too much into the details of it because I wouldn't wanna spoil it, but the game was able to take me on a great emotional roller coaster, going from happy, jovial moments to really thought provoking, depressing moments. I love all of the party members and seeing how they all grow and change along the story was amazing. It also basically has one of my favorite endings out of any game. One of the core themes of the game is death, life, what it all means, and what people choose to live for. I played the game at a perfect time I think, because back then I was struggling to find meaning in my life or the things I did. It felt meaningless to me for a long time and I was kinda empty. Persona 3 made me think about it a lot though, and a lot of the ideas it had - especially with one of its messages at the end -, really became a stepping block for me to feel confident and happy with myself nowadays. I owe a lot to this game honestly
kind of a ramble but man, I could say so much about that game. Even if I enjoy the general gameplay of the mainline Shin Megami Tensei games more, Persona 3 will always have a very special place in my heart
