I can understand 24 and 48, but I don't know what the motivation of 36 is. There were never any instances in the books where three tributes from each District were reaped.

A sickle sounds like something i would grab. Brutal injuries so after a few gutting encounters people would avoid me but can also be used for harvesting plants and, in an emergency, chopping things.

Essentially you all start from a center point around the Cornucopia, a big horn of supplies, sprinting in and grabbing as much as possible without dying before running off into the Arena and surviving for as long as possible against 47, in this case, other people.

The nicer equipment is closer to the center of the cornucopia, and obviously, you have a big chance of being killed if you hang around for too long and don't grab anything good. It's usually the better option to turn and run away, survive in the wilderness and occasionally receive gifts from Capitol sponsors who think you're doing a good job and want you to win.

There's also a control room for the Arena and if they think you're doing too good or are just feeling like assholes, they can send any sort of natural disaster or weather effects, such as earthquakes, monsoons, forest fires, etc, as well as plagues of mutant animals and insects, the works.
First semester of college is burning me out. I don't even have a job. Who am I to say I'm burned out?
Hopefully I can finish with a 3.0+ GPA and get on with my easier semesters.
