I had some fun dicking around with TPA's "ball control" mode in the pro menu. By ball control, I mean you can manipulate your pinball with the arrow keys.
Started on the Whirlwind table and managed to rack my score up to 25 million in 1st place through cheating, but even then it wasn't enough to be the table's grand champion of 29 million. Saved my ball a few times at least.
Then I tried messing with The Champion Pub and successfully scored almost nothing on my first play. I had been doing nothing so long that the table started playing with itself (like flipping its own flippers and playing jump rope) until it eventually assumed that I never launched the ball at all and just ended that round.
What a fun game.

Most of you are all perfectly satisfied with that big, animated avatar. Perhaps your nice, poopy-golden name as well. What not all of you might have realised, is the granted access to OIFY. What all of you do know, however, is the existence of the Gold Members Forum.
That’s where all your faces turn sour. Ugh, the GMF. That place is terrible. It’s the forum’s cancer. Quite frankly; we agree. It’s a cesspool. We want to change that, there is now a unique opportunity to take GMF right from under from those that perpetuate harassment and troll users. Together with all of you we can wipe away the old dirt and end the cancer. Share GMF with all golds.

If you care about not wanting to be bullied on the forum, you should listen. We know a lot of you were targets of harassment from GMF, I’m sure you’ve tried appealing to normal channels to fix it. Trust us when we say we’ve tried what we could, but let us explain why our earlier attempts failed.
But, This is the best shot you have left. Hijack GMF.
GMF as you know is a ‘relaxed subforum’ granting you a little more freedom to do things you could otherwise couldn’t do in the blue forum. That includes occasionally be snarky to a user or trolling them within GMF. That’s been going on for the entirety of GMF, some like it and some don’t. That’s where part of the stigma of old goldmembers being higher than thou comes from.
It’s safe to say this privilege has been abused, and because miraculously just in a timeframe where there are no checks and balances to have stopped it. - This was a matter for someone like Hezzy to solve, there is no lead mod now.
If you’ve read the Gold Commandments you’d notice mods don’t enforce them to the teeth. That’s because different mods have different views on what GMF rules should be enforced.
There IS though a general mod consensus on interpreting the Gold Commandments:
(Otherwise, just being rude to another gold would be breaking #1, makes sense? That’s impossible to moderate)
× Anything that becomes ‘personal’ trolling/flaming is bannable.
× Anything beyond ‘Hazing’ is bannable, ie Harassment.
× ‘Hazing’ outside of GMF is bannable.
× Actual off/onsite harassment is bannable or permabannable.
The struggle of when to inforce #1 or not created a loophole that lead to:
× Witch hunts. On principle #1 is against this and is an awful sentiment.
× Laughing at bad posts and not reporting them.
× A place actively searching to ridicule people whether they do or don’t is bad sentiment to all of GMF
Threads that encouraged or outright broke even these rules
× Brandon Neider thread
× FP sexy posts
Don’t support mods that openly favor bullying and downplaying gold commandments.
SO? - These mods think it’s a game and try to get laughs rather than knowing better. In reality it makes the job of the actual working mod team harder, perpetuates a bad situation, and adds a terrible new stigma onto the GMF. - Let’s change that.
Perhaps all of this is a symptom of a dieing group, these golds started ‘caring’ about the forum.
Then alienating people, and finally ditching out.

Call each other a cunt, call each other a shithead. Give advice, take advice. Play games, create or participate in raffles. Share goods, send christmas cards. Discuss dicks, boobs, goatse and tubgirl. That’s what the GMF is all about. The possibility to do all of this is the reward you get for being a Gold Member. By being the elite of the forum. You set an example outside of the GMF, and you have leisured fun inside the GMF.
Shun the Gold Members who want to take that away from you. Shun those who harass and flame endlessly. Stand together, and make it a nice place again. Follow the Golden Rule; Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Thát’s how you will get your GMF. The GMF you deserve.

Hijack what’s left of GMF, Set up permanent residence, make sure GMF doesn’t harm anyone again. Perhaps in the future GMF won’t be looked upon as a shit place to be.
IF you don’t,
You’ll let GMF die and let a residual party start the cycle again.
GMF dies out completely and/or garry floods in a new gold wave. Old GMF stigma restarts the cycle.
