• Pancakes or waffles?

Homemade waffles. Easier to cut, easier to syrupize, and easier to gorge oh lordy forgive me padre for I have sinned.
Personally I've eaten more pancakes than waffles in my life, mostly the thinner kind that're closer to crepes than to the thicker kind that is common in America. That said I do like waffles a fair bit, if we're talking about both kinds here; I remember enjoying the circular "sweet" kind when I was in America, but the kind of waffle I've eaten the most is the potato waffle, mostly with savoury meals involving meats and eggs. So yeah, I'd have to say I prefer waffles over pancakes.
There is more than one type of waffle? You're destroying my sheltered lifestyle! Seriously though potatoes?

An alternative to chips and hash browns, most of the time you pop them in the oven rather than in the deep fat fryer.

I was planning on coming to England at one point in my life and if they have bad tasting waffles I'll go to Chernobyl instead.
i'm allergic to both. :(

I was planning on coming to England at one point in my life and if they have bad tasting waffles I'll go to Chernobyl instead.
They're completely different; the American kind of waffle is more commonly suited to sweet stuff like syrups and berries, whilst potato waffles are, well, made of potato and go alongside savoury stuff like meat and eggs and savoury sauces. In terms of taste, they're pretty much like fries or any other savoury potato product that's baked or fried. Not as excellent as roast potatoes, but they're still nice as a compliment to the main meal, though the interior is usually softer and more even than hash browns or "Tater Tots". So yeah; potato waffles are completely different to sweet waffles. Don't expect them to be served with powdered sugar or maple syrup, but you can probably expect to see them alongside stuff like bacon, eggs, sausages, etc.
Two large pancakes w/scrambled eggs and grade A syrup.
So how do you think radioactive waffles taste?
God damn it, i want some pancakes now, really badly.
L'eggo my eggo biotch.
I haven't eaten waffles in years. I'm gonna go buy a pack tomorrow. From what I recall though I don't really have a preference. They're both sweet and syrupy and the best breakfast foods ever, but if you fuck up they're utterly disgusting.
Pancakes for breakfast, waffles for dessert
NEITHER!
Okemo's Waffle Cabin waffles......with chocolate syrup..... Pancakes are easier to make but I like waffles more
