I have a few friends who watch anime. One watches Naruto/Bleach etc. but also some other good stuff.
Another one just watches Naruto and Bleach, but is generally a cool guy so I let him get away with it. I'm currently trying to get him to watch Gurren Lagann not only because it's fucking awesome but... well if you knew him you'd know why. My roommate watches primarily good stuff, although I don't think he watches as much as me.
And then there are a few other people I know but don't hang out with who also watch anime. Then again I grew up in Hawaii and there's a lot of Japanese influence here i.e. most signs in Honolulu are in English and Japanese, so it's not surprising that there are more people who openly enjoy anime and what not.
I borrowed a girl a CD with first half of Gurren lagann to watch, she watched the first episode, told me how much she liked it, and haven't touched it since. :frog:
dammit lektro, you beat me to the reference :argh:

on topic, i know alot of people in my school that watch anime. But most of them are stupid weaboos (one dressed up in that shigiami costume from bleach once, ugh.) and weaboo shit over everything, for example, one of them have a sketchbook filled with Bleach characters that are pretty well drawn, but hurr hurr i can trace/copy too, because she never draws anything at school, she only polishes off her "artwork". but there is one group (5 people)that hang out in the library talking about anime and various video games (Final Fantasy, Nintendo and Ace Attorney) and probably reflects FA pretty well. One of them is pretty good at Mario Kart too.
I'm watching the Big O right now. It feels more "Western" than your regular anime, but I guess that's because of its film noir roots and an uncanny similarity to the 1992 Batman show. The dieselpunk setting is pretty damn nice.
Also, it seems like everybody keeps anti-tank missiles in their cars these days:

Wat, dieselpunk?
Basically it's kinda like steampunk, but instead of steam-powered machines and a (generally) a Victorian-Edwardian era setting, it's more based off of stuff in the 1920's up to World War II and a reliance on diesel fuel.

Last night was hilarious. One of my best friends and I was playing a four hour long Age of Empires II(conquerors) LAN match While I on my pc had a dual monitor setup so we could watch Golden Boy while playing.
Lots of lulz.
Dumbest video I've seen today. I don't understand why it deserved a spot on the front page and why the poster made it seem like the best thing ever. All it is is some douchbag on a boat that has a FAKKU flag. Big fucking deal.
Their cuteness makes it all the more unnerving when they start killing each other.
