I saw an awesome dream.
I was in Helsinki, where they held a huge boat competition where people built their own canoes or such, and raced down a large river. A section of the river had a 100 meters high dam in it, and people had to take a rope and climb it with their boats in order to continue sailing. It was raining and it was foggy, so it was an even more awesome scenery to watch the boats go by from a long hanging rope bridge stationed over the river. Some fat kid on the bridge was bobbing it up and down intentionally, so I threw him down and he hit the rocks and died. Then one of the boats got my attention. The competitor was shit, he fell with his boat, continued after getting up, fell again, continued, fell again and then finally gave up and swam ashore. I think he was drunk. The Pope was one of the judges of the competition, he was badass. His manager, though, said that they had to leave early, despite the fact that he still needed to judge. When the Pope went in his private jet and lifted off, me and a couple of buddies showed the middle finger to him for breaking his promise and we could see their faces on the plane's windows staring at us.
So anyways, now that the competition was over, I had to get a place to stay, I was in Helsinki afterall, not my home town. I went in this house, it was incredibly shitty. The landlady said that I could come in, but as I peeked from the door I saw that the bathtub was full of greenish, brownish water, the walls and floor were dirty and damaged and that there was no kitchen. So I was going to leave, but at the last minute changed my mind and went inside. The landlady said, "Congratulations, you're the first one to step in, you can live here." Then she pressed a button and a hatch opened to the REAL apartment, which was huge and luxurious. Then I woke up.
Damn you orkel and your awesome dreams.
The latest episode of Haruhi was hilarious at the end.

The last thing I need right now is even more reason to start watching that. I really want to, but I'm trying to wait for it to end airing first. Hayate S2 too.
Thank god for TvTropes/osu to get my mind off things.
I'm watching the Big O right now. It feels more "Western" than your regular anime, but I guess that's because of its film noir roots and an uncanny similarity to the 1992 Batman show. The dieselpunk setting is pretty damn nice.
Also, it seems like everybody keeps anti-tank missiles in their cars these days:

I liked your dreams better when they had demons and possibilities.
Be glad you have mates who watch and like anime. The only other person I know how does is a bit of a weirdo and only watches Bleach etc. I have one or two suspicions, but the chances are slim.
I have a bunch.
The first one that got me into anime has supposedly seen around 300 shows or something and is now obviously quite bored of it, might watch something now and then but generally not. His tastesn't exactly to my liking, he watched Naruto, Bleach and all that and liked it a lot, but he watched all other normal kind of shows too and wasn't a narutard. He was the one that showed me Trigun, Love Hina and Death Note. Elfen Lied I found out by a nice girl in my class that types(? typed at least) like a typical 13 year old with lots of xD :D :O <3 <3 and shit, buuut, it wasn't on that annoying scale. She also dresses like emoes, but she isn't at all like one which is nice.
I've got my best friend to watch a couple of shows, Hellsing Ultimate, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Bokusatsu Dokuro-chan and now he's going to get into Clannad. He likes it, but he is a more intellectual person so he doesn't watch it very often, he reads and makes poetry, digs roman history, reads a lot of books, biographies, romans, documentaries you know. He's the opposite of me, but our humor is quite similar... Retarded humor.
Then I've also got another of my friend to watch anime, I dunno what he has seen except for Clannad now recently and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. He cried at Clannad :buddy: At my birthday LAN I gave him most of the shows I had on my external... God I miss my old one that died, had so much good stuff on it.
Then I have 3-4 others that watch anime. One of them is a year older than me.. And well, almost absolutely everything is a 10/10 for him. Another one watches everything that has 2 chicks or more in it, yuri obsessed :buddy:, he told me at the LAN that he bought a hugging pillow sheet. :P But he isn't at all weebooish when you talk to him or anything, he's just... Yuri obsessed and shit, but you wouldn't know just by talking to him, at all.

Lol no. The only way I would possibly go to an anime convention is if I could get to it by bus for less than 100kr (about 12,5$). Otherwise, it's out of the question.

Girls pretending to be grownups can be so annoying. The crying scene didn't exactly have the best crying I've heard, but it touched me a bit when they mentioned dad and mom, but overall, meh.
And good God am I getting annoyed by all the shitty 3D animated characters in this show. They dumb down the drawing style completely with average/standard anime animation AND do a hell lot of 3D... Why did they even bother doing this show if they hardly have a budget to animate it?
After watching up to episode 4, I agree with this.
It isn't a bad show though, I quite like it. I was close to being teary on episode 2, when [sp]the kids got reunited[/sp], and I have a feeling that I will be by the end of it. I also often find myself worrying for the characters, which is a plus.
The OP and ED are pretty good too.
