They spin in a clockwise motion relative to the screenshot. The giant cog that Croc is standing on? It also spins, at twice the speed of the platforms. That little patch of ice on the left is the only bit of stationary land, aside from those towers that the boxes are on. You can make it to the patch just fine, but good luck slowing yourself down. You slide with every tap of the d-pad, including on the platforms. The only objects that can forcefully stop you are the boxes. And input lag definitely doesn't help. Probably not that hard for most of you guys here but I found Call of duty 4's "One shot, one kill" mission on Veteran hard as fuck, took me 2 days to finally complete and many rages were made within those days.

Elizabeth Grene on Prototype, without dying this took me 70 minutes, after finishing I didn't play it for a week because I was so sick of it. And on World of Tanks you have this big heavy tank that can take a fuckload of hits and some tiny tank that you could easily kill gets a lucky shot on your ammo rack and you die instantly.

Lag. The kind that freezes you in place and everyone else stops but they're still really playing and you end up getting killed because you can't move or shoot. I just got one that was seriously about a minute long. It drives me insane.
