i genuinely get a little mad when someone says anime is trash
It's not anime thats thrash, it's your waifu that's thrash.
i don't like comics but love MCU
I want to have good taste in music, film, tv, art, literature etc. and one of my biggest fears is liking something that is often considered to be shit.
i don't like comics but love MCU
I'd like to get into comics but the constant retcons and alternate timelines discourage me. It's like the 'getting into 40k problem' but a thousand times worse.

I could rant about this topic, but not against you- against those who so arbitrarily define "taste". Also this is mostly about music but I feel its pretty universal
The easiest path is to enjoy what you enjoy, but I'd still say break out of your normal genres and listen to different stuff. Music is a lot like wine/beer tasting, in that a new genre can all sound the same at first like wine all tastes the same when you first try it. However, as you try it more and more you begin to recognize subtle differences.
Music that is "good" is hard to define since taste is so personal, so I've just started considering the intent behind the work and the artist that made it. If I feel the artist is telling a story, expressing something, having fun making music, or trying to get people to feel something or dance, its good with me. Music made for profit or to cash in is what I consider "bad" because I swear you can feel it. Certain artists that get a lot of flak don't deserve it. Skrillex is a nice guy and experiments with a lot of different styles, and I don't at all get the crash-grab vibe from him. Afrojack and Carnage are lesser known, but Afrojack literally calls his fans "peasants", and Carnage makes bog-standard cash-in trap music and his lack of passion showed in his Razer music video
tl:dr I've had a fuckload of caffeine and adderall so textwalls happen, but my point is to enjoy what you enjoy. Fuck others who say that the genre or artist you like is terrible- at worst its an artist producing without passion or for money. And break out of your usual artists or genres and look for more obscure stuff, not because obscure = better but because there's a lot of talent out there that would go otherwise unnoticed. Like an FP'ers recent genre-bending track that is lovely and really quite excellent

tbh there's nothing really wrong with that. if some asshole comes up to you and tells you "reading books about dragons is for children" or "if you don't like 2001: a space odyssey you're an idiot", then well, well they can just fuck off for all i care lol

It's more like: I watch a new film and really enjoy it, I talk about how great it is and later I find out that it has a rotten tomatoes score of 28% and everyone I know hates it for various valid reasons.
That is kinda how I feel about Sonic R. I feel like the only one who enjoys it because it is considered to be on the list of the worst sonic games.
That's how I feel with most new games and movies. For some reason I don't feel "hyped" or even remotely interested by stuff with "great storytelling", most of the games I own (outside Steam) are what most people consider shitty, non-indie, repetitive garbage like most First Person Shooters, GTA and racing games.
Whenever I go to the movies and people ask me "what do you want to see?", I really don't know what to answer, everything seems boring and if I ever like a movie then it turns out to be a shitty, repetitive, action-comedy flick with nothing but explosions through the entire film or it's a reboot everybody hates for some reason.
I have very strong opinions against the UN and some of the laws 1st world countries have.
Mostly due to the fact that school made me attempt suicide when I was younger, which immediately made me think about how easily it could've been prevented if the "every child must go to school" law didn't exist

I would disagree with that last part for one reason: Public schools are flawed, and sometimes corrupt, but they're a necessary kind of evil. Everyone needs some form of education, so saying that your presence in academics isn't required is in itself something with unfounded/unstable reason.
I'll pull an example from a country that lived right below your flagdog's, too. In North America, education in the time of Reconstruction/post-Civil War was at an all time low, especially in the southern areas. Many people had no reason to earn an education not only due to working conditions at home, but because they felt like they did not need any of it.
Point is, laws like the ones that require children to attend a form of school are needed, lest one bores a generation of stupidity.
With all these data leaks and website compromises last year and continuing, I'd rather live the life of the Amish right now. They don't have to deal with shit like this.
Ok, since I don't know where else to ask this. What the hell happened the last couple hours? All I know is Big Dumb American banned him self and we need to change our passwords.

All FP accounts that were used from around 7 pm est- 12 am on January 2nd had their passwords stolen. If you used your old password on other sites, change it there, too.
I'm trying not to worry about this since I doubt whoever has my old password will fuck my stuff up.
Im trying to write a Sci Fi book, go ahead and laugh at me for trying...
I have been putting off getting a job because I just don't like working even though I have to to survive.
I was at a birthday party when i was 10 or so, big thing, happened at the local YMCA place. There was a giant inflatable maze thing with a climbing section and a big slide. I, being 10 years old and as such a piece of shit, was just sitting at the top, snagging peoples legs to fuck with them. One of them ended up getting pants'd because i caught their pant leg.
Before i left, they came up to me and said they found my Nintendo DS and they stole it, and walked off, i saw them playing with it as they walked away.
I've never owned a DS.
Fucker stole some random DS.
[sp]In hindsight, i regret nothing. What an asshole[/sp]
I really miss having a gaming buddy, my first was when I was like 11(10 years ago) and we'd make cringy videos while playing games but at the time it was alot of fun, then some bad things happened and contact ended, I tried to add him on Steam somewhere last year but I think I was just ignored/blocked.
I love having a couple gaming buddies, I'd probably play 1/10 the amount of time I do, and be miserable AF without them.
Also, played my first game of Cards Against Humanity in person tonight, usually it's online with tabletop simulator and a group of online friends. It was really fun.
i think of something really dark and the only thing to get rid of that is thinking about yandere simulator gameplay

I am also trying to write a science fiction novel. However I have massive writers block and constantly trash my drafts because I find my ideas stupid/unoriginal/not bookworthy
I'm sure I'll die of a stroke within 5 years
I actually enjoyed Duke Nukem Forever.

How old are you?
If I ever get my hands on a remote or something, I will incessently take off the battery cover and then put it straight back on, and do this until someone physically tells me to stop. Me and my brothers all seem to do it, no idea where the hell it stems from. That and constantly twitching my leg

shit, you too? i do this all the time
It feels like my last relationship destroyed who i'am as a person. I feel like i've changed alot but i'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad one.
I can't stand being at home anymore, i don't want to play video games anymore, i wanna go out and do something so i can keep my self busy, i started to drink more, i'm having trouble trusting people and i get frustrated almost everytime my parents talk to me but they keep nagging and complaining about different stuff which gets me frustrated.
When i'm at work everything feels normal but as soon as i get home, my brain gets bombarded by bad and good memories from the relationship i had last year and it's frustrating that i can't seem to forget about it completely. Pretty much everything reminds of it. It feels like i let her destroy who i was.
How old are you?
For a stroke victim, not very, but I look twice my age, and my physique resembles that of those scrawny old men you see on the beach
