I don't think long distance relationships can work out
I could never date anyone here, because I can only really bond with people in person. I never understood online dating because of this.
Online dating isn't the same thing as long distance relationships or internet relationships
alright well if facepunch is so great for picking up chicks guys who wants some fuk
my interests r vidya games, long walks to the fridge and back to my computer, but i hate the animes
gotta be a 10/10 on everyone's list c'mon ladies lets go i'll take you to pizza hut
You're assuming the people getting together are straight
i'd be convinced if i was a woman
just slip on a skirt and i'll take out my contact lenses, no one would ever know
You're assuming the people getting together are straight
oh right yeah facepunch is p. gay
Online dating isn't the same thing as long distance relationships or internet relationships
Obviously, but I kinda mean all of those, just seeking a word for them.
and long distance relationships arent internet relationships
"internet relationships" is a pretty silly term tbh, it pretty much implies you're loving someones persona seeing as the entirety of it is going to be internet based. if youre communicating on a personal level, skype etc then i'd call it an LDR
Regardless, I don't think either of them can work out
Physical presence is very important
I wouldn't mind a long distance relationship. Mostly because I am super lonely.
Also because no females around me within a 20 mile radius likes video games or card games. And don't necessarily fit my preferences.
if i was a girl on fp i'd be the biggest slut
Sometimes I think about this in the same way.
But honestly, if I was a girl, I'd probably be a way more polite and disciplined me. I also wonder if I'd play games the way I do now. I prefer games with character creation because then I can usually get away with playing as a female-looking me (give or take a few features that is...)
It makes me wonder if I would even come to a place like FP.

I thought this too, until I tried it with someone for two years. It's soul-crushingly awful. Never again.
Regardless, I don't think either of them can work out

Long distance relationship can only work out if you actually see them in person like every once in a while, for example if studying in another city.

Depends how it's handled. Key to LDRs is a plan to somehow get together - otherwise it's an awkward equilibrium. The interwebs is also good for making it pretty easy to connect with people, too.
Most won't work, but there are usually a few that work out.
I guess I should admit I seriously want to kill myself, not because my life is terrible or anything, but because I'm worthless to everyone, I don't contribute anything to society and I probably never will, I'm so much of a pansy that I can't even stand up for myself, both emotionally and physically. I'm a pathetic excuse of a person and I'd do so much more for society if I just wasn't alive.
I have a hard time believing any of this.

please call a suicide hotline and seek therapy ASAP, I was in the same boat as you for a good chunk of 2015, but after ~3 months of 1 on 1 sessions I was able to regain the will to live
You should try putting yourself out there a bit more if you haven't, you'd be surprised at what you can find
Video games being popular now is an extreme understatement. I know someone at work who I thought was the most normie girl ever and she has a Ni No Kuni spell tattooed on her upper back
I can try. I just have a hard time talking to people because I don't want to seem weird or anything. That's why I turned to online dating so I can at least see girls that might share interests with me.

Ah, well here it becomes the ol two rule thing.
1. Be attractive
2. Don't be unattractive.
I mean it honestly comes down to more just making any interests like this a segue from conversation you were already having. It gets weird when this is your only interest or all you talk about. I don't think you'll have that issue though, you'll probably do fiiiiine
my roommate is gay and is having a hard time finding a partner, where should I tell him to look?
[sp] not me [/sp]

Grindr tinder OKcupid if you're in college LGBT clubs aren't a terribad idea, otherwise good ol fashioned socialization.
Despite my recent lack of success tinder isn't THAT horrible, I met one dude on there I saw for a bit and while it can be shallow it's generally the chat you have with the person that makes the decision.
Gay dating is like a job. Either you do it on the Internet or get referred :v:

There’s my problem. :v:
I know being overweight is a huge turn off to people.
The hardest thing for me is starting conversations. After that I can keep conversations going with enough material.

How would that work?
I guess I should admit I seriously want to kill myself, not because my life is terrible or anything, but because I'm worthless to everyone, I don't contribute anything to society and I probably never will, I'm so much of a pansy that I can't even stand up for myself, both emotionally and physically. I had the same problem. Take up sarcasm, its a fun way to assert strength, at least verbally. obviously dont be a jerk with it and it takes practice, but it helped me socialize a ton
How would that work?
The whole "I know a guy who knows a guy" technique.
I was also joking. I mean I do have a lonely gay friend. But I don't think he would appreciate me randomly setting him up. Unless your roommate is a furry with a cute fursona. Then maybe.
You mother....
That ain't me :v:
He is a bird,
It's pretty weird.
If you can get passed that I could possibly throw your name his way.
I usually browse FP zoomed in like 175 percent. same with most other websites

Attractiveness is more than just your body alone, and personality makes the largest decision. Most of the time, appearance is what gets your foot in the door.
What's bad about "seeming weird". If a girl likes or doesn't like you, it doesn't matter if you're weird or not. That's just a part of your personality, and you should learn to accept it. Some girls really like weird guys, visa versa. It's worth trying. What's the worst case scenario. People judge you for being weird? People will find excuses to judge you no matter what you do. So there's no need to fear. It's just an excuse to not help yourself, really
This actually made me feel a little better about my self. I just need to suck up the courage to try.

I use 125%
This is the only site I do that on. The fonts and shit look weird on 100% imo
I browse everything at 100% unless it's a page full of images that I want to be a bit smaller
Oh my god why would you do this

I browse at a size most would call massive but it's because my eyesight is really, really really REALLY bad
in my chair, without my glasses, I can't read my monitor with it on anything less than maximum zoom and that's squinting
with my glasses on it still kinda strains my eyes too at normal sizes so I bump it up some, plus since I use my computer as a tv when I go to sleep, I've just gotten used to browsing at a large zoom, the normal level just looks unnecessarily small to me
I need laser eye surgery real bad

I always liked minimizing the size of everything one or two levels back throughout middle school and the early days of browsing Facepunch. I stopped just because images and stuff would end up at a smaller level, which bothered me.
I like having as much content on my screen as possible, and I don't have to squint or anything.
Right now on my 1080p laptop 100% seems pretty great, though. On my desktop, however, Facepunch could use a smaller text size.
hey man pizza hut aint great pizza, but its got its place.
i might be biased because i worked there briefly -- but while its shitty pizza, as a novelty, its kinda tasty.
[editline]10th February 2016[/editline]
i guess my confession is that i kind of like pizza hut
If the pizza isn't from a hole in the wall or uppity, I'm not interested. Fast food chains for pizza are generally awful.
ive been dating a fper for over two years now get on my level
Ive been dating the same fper for over 5 years. We've only been able to meet 3 times tho (last time was just a couple of months ago) but we're making it work.
