enjoy failing every job interview ever
on the contrary i think the comedy formula is: comedy = tragedy < time
the more time has passed the less the tragedy effects people once you pass the time based on the size of the tragedy it becomes funny.
example: boston bombing was a pretty bad event, but not that bad. it wasn't acceptable to say the race ending was a blast until maybe a week after.
wheras 9/11 wasn't funny until maybe a couple of years later.
Comedy is subjective. For some, 9/11 will never be funny. For others, it was funny three months after it happened.
There is no formula for comedy.
wheras 9/11 wasn't funny until maybe a couple of years later.
9/11 isn't going to be anywhere near funny until like a hundred years from now when everyone affected by it is dead.
The Titanic wasn't funny until a long time later, like fifty years.
The biggest part of the time factor is who gets offended by it. People will get offended by it if it's still leaving an impact on society, but if it doesn't mean much anymore then it's generally alright to joke about. 9/11 in particular is still causing the government to push out regulations and start caring a lot more about terrorism.
this tip is for the under 16 crowd on facepunch:
i know you really cant wait to turn 16 so you can get a job and get money to buy things, but don't get that job.
when you get a job you will become too tired and not have enough time to spend the money you make.
enjoy your free time while it lasts. don't get a job until your parents tell you to, or if you need to start saving up for college.
after all, whats the point of getting money if you can't spend it
I've been unemployed for the past 4 years, I went from a nice £600 a week job to benefits which is only £50 a week. I'm sick of running paycheck to paycheck and having nothing left to save. Heck I've gotten myself into such a routine that if I got a job I would continue managing money like I am now and throw everything else into my savings account.
Heck for the past few months I've been budgeting even tighter so I can put the odd £5 into my savings to buy my disabled brother a new PC.

I know its pretty late to respond to this post, but one of my best friends use to give me highfives like a billion times a day when we first met, and I just finally understood why.
Don't be a bigot.

let me adjust my formula to make it slightly better fitting.
comedy = tradgety < time for person to forget initial shock/emotional trauma
some people will never get over the trauma of 9/11, and some had very little when it happened. now the formula is adjusted for the variables that come with human beings.
although i do agree there is no perfect formula, there's too many variables for that to happen.

Depends on the person. If you are not blessed with rich parents it's better to use the free time to make and save up money so you don't have to work while studying in college, when you will really have no time for work.

This entirely depends upon the job. Most people around here can only get a job delivering ads and newspapers. That's a crappy job. However I was lucky enough to get a job at a pharmacy nearby because my mom worked there. I just have to clean the shelves for $11,61 an hour. That's a good job. It feels nice to make your own money, even if you spend them on a bunch of stupid crap.
Facial expressions are very, very important in conversation - don't stare at someone with a blank face.

Just. No.
Sounds like the one social situation you have per... year didn't go too well.

In essence, be objective when it comes to rage.
Be nice to strangers, even anonymous online ones.
They're people too.
But what if you have to fight?
You will never have to fight
When you relinquish those feelings and manifest them by beating up on somebody else it only shows everyone around you that you can't handle your own feelings and that you need other people to help you handle them; not to mention justifying it by saying that you have to fight makes everyone look and say "Ooh the big manly man can't even handle his own internal conflicts, because he feels obligated to do that." Just grow up and don't do it.
Give up. It's not worth trying.
