The first four episodes were by a different director to the rest and so painfully unfunny that he got fired and it's fine from there.
That's what I've been told, anyway. I don't find Lucky Star or its style of humour funny in the slightest.

a friend of mine was born in december, but he has his birthday set to the 1st of april on facebook. he's had it set as that for more than 5 years, and he still gets people wishing him a happy birthday on april fools day

i actually had like 24 hours of "playtime" before i finished a single playthrough of neptunia rebirth1
i kept it up in the background and afk'd in it a lot while doing other stuff tho and i even grinded a little more than i should've. i think i played it casually over the course of about 5 days, occasionally shutting it down when i had no interest in switching to the window at all
when i finally got to the last boss I managed to 1-hit the first stage of it (~200,000damage) because i was like level 80 :v:
and then i started newgame+ and that's about where i am now.
So I don't really know what Aria is, but I'm checking it out, on account of all the good words.

I feel like if it was summer, neptunia is one of the games where I would accidentally grind too much by playing it when dota is looking for a match, so by the end of the day I would go up a bunch of levels

it gets pretty relaxing after a certain point. tekken-chan in her kuma outfit is literally the best thing ever, and having her start out fights with "Final round, fight-o" never gets old. (especially when she proceeds to 1-hit everything directly after with her extremely weak looking punches).
the only time i had any actual troubles was trying to fight "team polytan" in the colosseum at level ~74. i managed to win in the end, but i had to sandbag a character for like the entire match to deflect damage from everyone else. revival items are super cheap anyways.

I wanna say I'm proud of myself for being able to recognize those characters after like 6 years of not even touching Japanese but it's hiragana so it isn't that difficult. I used to be a weeb in training, after all.
