In the case of bacano, the dubs are better. Hands down. I watched the first half of the series subbed and I restarted to watch it in dubbed. It's 10x more immersive. Mostly because the accents are (for the most part) authentic and the language actually fits the setting though. Jacuzzi sounds annoying as hell but it's actually fitting and the performance is A+ near the end.
I watched Black Lagoon dub. Just something about hearing fuck all the time makes me giggle.

I just said a typical get-the-ball-rolling statement asking for the readers general thoughts (general thoughts =/= your rating scale) on the show, I didn't know this thread has a history of people getting people to discuss topics "for" them. Never even knew that could be a thing

Black Lagoon is one of the most confusing, dub vs sub wise.
On one hand, in the last arc of the last season, there's a LOT of engrish which stopped being funny and started being annoying when the show wants you to take it seriously, and I also prefer the dub's voice actors.
However, in the dub, they talk in English all the time, so they changed the dialogue in some scenes in which people talked different languages which hurts the integrity of the story.
I ended up watching the sub and dealing with the engrish.
On an unrelated note, Samurai Champloo has good english / dutch voice acting in the sub.

most dubs are really bad, but then you have dubs that are better than the Japanese or at least on par, I can't watch full metal alchemist subbed because I'm so used to the dub voices and ed isn't voiced by a woman in it, same goes for dragonball z, no offense to the Japanese voice for adult goku but you don't fit at all.
I always give the dub a chance on a rewatch cause why not, a normalyl switch back to sub but sometimes they're good.
So I heard Ladies vs Butlers is getting a dub.
Actually, I've heard that many shows that didn't have 'em are getting 'em, but the shame is that the VAs they use don't fit the roles, and they lack enthusiasm. The anime with the student council prez who is secretly a maid comes to mind, character voices lack emotion and enthusiasm.
Imagine a tatami galaxy dub, is there even any american voie actor who could tlak that fast.

it's not work, but it does take considerable amount of effort to think back about something you've watched long ago and give a writeup on why something is good or not. I'm not sure why that's so hard to understand. If you want something done, do it yourself. I've complained multiple times about people in this thread being terrible at discussion, but that was after i wrote up long paragraphs about why something was good/bad and the only responses i get in return is "lol let's just agree to disagree".

I dunno, as someone who doesn't watch much anime(I do lurk here to see if there is any anime I like) I prefer a decent English dub above the orginal.
Just feels better to me to understand the fuck they are saying without reading text. On a side note, this doesn't mean I only watch anime that has a good dub though.
But I just prefer English voices, although it helps that the few anime I've watched had excellent dubbings or didn't have a dub at all.
In the end it is all just opinions so why get mad over it though.
so you guys remember that ghost in the shell arise tv show, well not only is it 90% a reedit of the movies, the last 2 episodes will be used to bridge the arise movies into the new gits movie, I was really hoping for a new timeline in that movie.
