Today's Akatsuki no Yona was really good, still the underdog of the season.
Also, Yona somehow has some of the best action this season. They don't have a huge amount of fights, but when they do they tend to range from very good to budget explosion.

Well it looks like for the finale [sp]they're going to Midway, which if they stay "historically accurate" like they did in the first half, will end with 4 ships, including Akagi, getting sunk and the group suffering a horrible defeat. Of course, that wouldn't make for good anime, so they're probably not going to lose, but I still bet Akagi's going under.[/sp]
Slow day at work so I attempted to read up on A/Z since people say the backstory and writers notes makes stuff make sense.
I had no idea you could take such a cool concept and royally fuck it over so badly as they did. Honestly, a few more lines here and there, ever so slightly shorter mech fights, and you really could make A/Z something knda cool. There are still many plot holes but it doesn't feel nearly as bad. It's like the took the "how to write story -by PPS2"

Well [sp]he isn't completely dead[/sp] but yeah the pacing felt super strange all the important stuff was at the beginning and there really was no hook at the end of the episode
