Come to Pennsylvania
to buy liquors and wine we have to got to a state run store
to get a case of beer we have to go to a beer distributor
to get a 6 pack or a 12 pack we have to go to a bar
also both beer distributors and state run store close at 9 pm and state run stores aren't open on Sundays
Come to Washington, go to a grocery store to buy hard alcohol and beer, and a short drive away you can stop in at a recreational marijuana store
also so many local brewers in the Pacific northwest

The province-run liquor store here in Ontario won't accept my gun license as valid ID for some reason either, but the Beer Store will.
Ontario is terrible. You can only buy liquor at the government-run store, and it's expensive as fuck, beer is sold either at the craft brewery that makes it, the government liquor store, or if you want anything bigger than a 6 pack at The Beer Store, which is run by 3 foreign brewing companies and is being sued for violating competition laws. You can buy wine at other places, but it has to be Ontario wine. And all of these places close at, like, 10PM.

Meanwhile in Glorious Quebec, alcohol is sold everywhere and the legal drinking age is 18 but the laws are so lax no one gives a fuck. Hell there's even a bar [I]inside my uni's main hall[/I] that starts serving during evening course hours.

Anime club is doing their annual maid cafe today. I'll let you guys know how cringeworthy it is.

Define trashy. Other than the unnecessary changing of the art style in the first place there's nothing wrong with them besides Jou.
So the maid cafe was about what I expected. It was managed like a disaster, the "kitchen" was shitting a brick because of how many people (like 20) showed up at once, and some of the pre-made food didn't show up for an hour. The staff were cosplayers, and they tried the "Okaerinasaimase, goshujin/oujo-sama" thing for about 20 minutes before giving up and instead just yelling "Irasshaimase." The food was good though, didn't try any of the cake, but had tons of ice cream things. Some of the menu items included "tsun-tsun special," "Pico's banana split," "soul gem parfait," and "senpai's ab cake." They also had a bento box that I know cost way too much, I snapped a pic of it:

Overall, was a pretty good lunch, but unlike when I went last year, I was not having houkago tea time, so I was not a K-On this year.
If somebody attempted gratuitous Japanese in front of me, I would die and then attempt to drag my corpse out of the room as quickly as possible.
