I'm sorry what
how could an adaptation that has sped the plot up by removing useless filler be dull and slow compared to the manga?
Maybe he's biased due to a general feeling of "yeah yeah i know this already get on with it" which would be an odd thing to feel while watching an adaption, but this is JohnFisher we're talking about and his reactions and opinions are an enigma to rational thinkers.
Have you read the manga? If yes, they you'll probably find it dull and slow.
However, if you haven't read the manga you'll probably enjoy it a great deal.
Excuse me? I'm one of the biggest fans of the manga and I think the anime is BETTER.
[sp]setting up a sacrifice mechanic in your story and turning it upside down at the last minute is retarded.
it's like if you were watching a cop show and the main character gets shot in the fucking face, but through the power of friendship he comes back to life in the final episode. along with his dead sidekick and the murder victim[/sp]
Wanting consequences in your stories is not being an edgelord, it's expecting writers to do their fucking jobs.
That end of that spoiler sounds like the end of Akuma no Riddle.

Even if an anime cuts a lot of things and has a decent pace, some people (including me) read manga very quickly, so unless the anime is on fast forward the pace is going to be slower.

this feels like a really dumb complaint, of course it seems slower it's an anime, this does not actually effect the pacing of the story, merely your perception of it.
for the first time ever, saika has been mentioned in any context of yahari s2
and it's some merch that i don't even know, but thank god he actually even exists anymore... barely...

He wasn't exactly a major character in the first season. Wait for it to air before panicking about your husbando's status.
There's no reason to worry, there's gonna be a decent amount of Saika. Especially in the first arc

i know he was barely in the first season after his introduction but i still need him
and you can't deny it's worrying when your husbando hasn't been even mentioned once and that sweaty otaku nerd piece of shit who had even less screen time has been in a promo poster or 2

i'm glad to hear that, though i wouldn't put it past them to just rush past or straight up remove most of his scenes as often happens with anime adaptations

I read really fast, how fast I read something has no bearing on how fast the actual plot progression is though so this means literally nothing and is a non-issue

It's a 3 volumes adaptation instead of 6 unless they also adapt the filler volumes with short stories which probably won't happen. I wouldn't worry about that either
I mean he's more relevant and important to the plot than [sp]Yui[/sp] in those 3 volumes, without exaggeration

thank you before i had lost all hope of seeing my husbando again but now i can see the light again you've saved me
at this point when i see saika my mind briefly assigns his name as hakita anyway
at this point when i see saika my mind briefly assigns his name as hakita anyway
don't mind that, it's just me committing identity theft so i can live in the anime realm

It definitely affects me.
If I'm reading, for example, Shonen Clusterfuck 64, and the main character thinks in the middle of the fight "This opponent is way too strong, I have no choice but to use my secret bloodline technique," it takes around 1.5 seconds to read. But when it's in an anime, he will take around 5 seconds to say it. It messes with the pace of the fight by making dialogue/thoughts longer.
kancolle 11 [sp]soooo kancolle is set in the far future then ?[/sp]

YOU GOTTA DO THE THING
Hey props to them for using actual foreigners to VA those roles.
"Remember when that guy told you to do that thing and you said no?"
"Of course I say no!"
They got the tense right the first time, why did they screw it up the second time?
I think say works and is proper.
If not proper it sounded right to me.
I think say works and is proper.
the first sentence is past tense, so she should have said, "of course I said no"
the first sentence is past tense, so she should have said, "of course I said no"
Yeah. But to my ears it doesn't sound like the sentence is wrong.
English is flexible like that I guess.
2 things.
A: How many of y'all have seen k-project? Liked it or loved it?
B: Does anyone know where I can find the movie online (so I can buy it or pay to stream it)? At this point I'm willing to forgo any illegalities so that I can watch this damn thing.

That's not how it works, the tense is wrong, "of course I'd say no" or "of course I said no." are your correct English grammar choices here, you can say what she said there and have the sentence understandable, but it's still not right.

K was a mediocre action art porn series but I liked it because I'm an asshole. I imagine the movie will come out soon because the second season is being localized (I think?).
while we're on existential topics concerning anime
why is it that every time a character says anything cheesy or "moving" there's guaranteed to be some wannabe-boy or cute girl who just wistfully looks at him and repeats his name softly
Because it represents the weeaboo when they spew shit out of their asses and want to look cool.
It tells them that it's ok to act that way and that some people even think they actually are cool.
Just keep in mind that anime is supposed to support the fantasies of it's viewers, once you realize that a lot of the dumb shit in anime makes sense.
