All anime is 10/10, that's why we need critical thought to figure out how much of a 10/10 they are. Kill la Kill is clearly a 8/10 10/10.

I still can't believe Rolling Girls isn't done by Trigger. It's also pretty damn good, definitely one of the best airing this season, though not sure if it's AOTS material.

Hell yeah, now the ground-water-air trinity can be complete. Best thing about BoB and Pacific is that it's almost mostly sorta entirely true. Really loved the interviews with the actual veterans, and how their names are only revealed in the final episode.
Realtalk WW2 stuff is one of the very few non-anime things I watch frequently. Fury was dumb and amazing, and only served as more GuPmovie hype fuel.
Is there actually any hardcore anime warfilms?

Not an anime, and not really "hardcore" either, but still an interesting book by a veteran of the IJA who drew the whole thing despite losing one of his hands during the war.

I can't watch shit like that, reminds me of my granddad. He told me stories from his time in the pacific and after he passed I heard even worse stories. I was barely able to sit through "American Sniper" It made me physically ill knowing that he suffered through the same sort of trauma.
The second episode of Maria was really great. The setting is extremely interesting and we have this complete mishmash of religions and mythology running around.
