All of that stuff is discussed in the anime, just not in heavy detail. You couldn't really make a good story about that stuff, especially since it's secondary to the main plot.

I'd say the bandit tribes would make a pretty good thriller, considering the question of "How can I trust this person if they could rip my head off at any point in time?" was brought up

[sp]doesn't cantus power vary quite a bit though? for example I don't think all fiends necessarily had a poweful cantus (according to the show, a weak cantus is actually a sign of a future fiend), going completely insane just gave them quite the power-up[/sp]

Welp finished stiens gate, that was a fun ride.
Well I finished Valkyria Chronicles, it was a pretty good game. Took me 30 hours though.
Has anyone watched the anime? With how many cutscenes and how story focused it was, it's pretty much ripe for an anime although looking at MAL the artstyle sorta looks like ass compared to the game.
I find it funny that Raita (of hentai fame) did the character designs but none of the characters have his artstyle's iconic torpedo tits. You can't even tell Raita was involved unless you looked at the concept art.

I honestly don't remember but among other things it has Welkin take cover from a gigantic super fortress' gigantic cannons... behind a rock. As soon as it stops straight adapting the game everything just flips on it's head.
