Log Horizon is good.
I don't understand Crunchyroll's decision to translate Oingo and Boingo as "Mondatta and Zenyatta". Sure, copyright issues, but why not just say "Oink and Boink" or something?
maybe they were just fans of The Police
Is Log Horizon S1 in general any good? I watched the first 3 episodes and it was mostly just about enemies being surprised at the MC for playing the game despite them all being high levels. I watched SAO and thought the story and characters were absolute garbage so i'm hesitant to watch Log Horizon.
The anime starts kicking into high gear when the characters start exploring more of the world and learn more about how Elder Tale's game mechanics have changed since the apocalypse. You won't have to wait much longer for the show to get better. Some of the characters are pretty hit and miss, but they're definitely better than the SAO cast (fuck Serara tho I can't stand her at all)
If I recall correctly, it was an entry in a 'young animator' project called Anime Mirai. It was made by Trigger. It was intended to just be one part, although after its wide success, Trigger went to kickstarter to see if people wanted a second part. People wanted a second part. So they're working on it now. Watch it, it's super good. Death Billiards was another entry that same year, and now it's a full-blown anime this season called Death Parade. I don't understand Crunchyroll's decision to translate Oingo and Boingo as "Mondatta and Zenyatta". Sure, copyright issues, but why not just say "Oink and Boink" or something?
Productive competition then. Death parade is fucking tops.
Oh wow, the KLK dub looks fairly good.
. She could really stand to do something about her obsession with Nyanta's furry dick though.
Oh wow, the KLK dub looks fairly good.
Too bad Satsuki's VA doesn't fit her at all 0/10 dub
maybe they were just fans of The Police

Because Oink and Boink would lose the music reference. Besides, they are simply reusing Viz Media's name changes.
Okay, I thought Mondatta Zenyatta were just some Japanese words they chose, but... If you change it from the name of a band to the name of an album of a different band, where the words only exist for that album... how the hell does that avoid copyright issues? Especially since the original is just a sound effect! As for "losing the music reference", it's still there, just hidden behind a light mask along the lines of Kars, Dan of Steel, Wamuu, and others. It reminds me of how Funimation translated Kishin as Afreet until the dub came out.
its wamuu, kars and esidisi because that's how its spelt in japanese. (although wamuu and kars aren't exactly correct)
Oh wow, the KLK dub looks fairly good.
Nonon surprisingly works last I saw of the dub.
fafnir is so bad it's great i lost count of all of the bad anime tropes ep 04: [vid]http://webmup.com/VkVlo/vid.webm[/vid] (i noticed the translation is also both bad and good simultaneously thx horriblesubs for this wonderful dichotomy) truly the savior of this season [editline]hi[/editline] other notes as long as i'm here because i haven't been browsing this thread at all in a long while: death parade had a really good 2nd episode but it continues to repeat itself without doing much of anything new. hopefully it mixes it up next episode and actually delves into the lore because that's far more interesting than one-off characters maria has high production values so i can see why funi licensed it, and the setting is interesting enough. still too early to tell how good it is though; i kind of feel like the pacing is set up to be 1-cour as well. it seems like it'll focus mainly on character development but hopefully the plot isn't too shit. we should find out soon enough at least assassination classroom is basically just GTO in contemporary fantasy setting. i might've enjoyed it if it was funnier but so far it's unfunny, so i don't have much motivation to watch it log horizon s2 is terrible in a bad way and i regret watching it saekano is currently sitting at "watchable". still not sure why a fanservice special was shown before the show itself tho. it's going to be a solid 4 or 5 rating by the time it's done probs. just another generic highschool anime that does some things well and other things bad durarararar is still okay. not really a fan of them constantly repeating scenes in the earlier episodes but that's just what happens with more "complex" animes i guess so people who miss an episode can still follow along. i honestly was never that big of a fan of drrr in the first place because there's barely any character/plot development and you spend most of your time watching it seeing one-off conversations with all of the various characters. although that's probably one of the reasons why some people like it so ehh
What's the deal with little witch acedemia? Is it like the first part of a series or what? Is it any good?
It's from a goverment funded project called Anime Mirai. The japanese government gives so much money to 4 studios, usually 2 big and 2 new. Then they hire univerity grads to come up with a one shot anime. Two of which will have something come out of them (Death Parade from Death Billards and Little Witch Acedemia 2) I'm extremely late but what evs
Well that's that. Grisaia VN trilogy kickstarted at $475,254 with 4,347 backers, which means the average contribution was over $100. [editline]I just want more fucking stock market[/editline] And World End Economica 2 is delayed because Sekai Project is growing rabidly and they can't hire staff fast enough
I've been reading Gundam lore. Especially regarding Turn A, AGE and Mobile Fighter G's stories in particular. Gundam is fucking weird man.
I've been reading Gundam lore. Especially regarding Turn A, AGE and Mobile Fighter G's stories in particular.
Turn A has some of my favorite lore for Gundam, mainly since nothings really told about the Turn Wars that took place and what the actual specs of the Turn A and Turn X are
Most of the abilities people say the Turn A has, such as teleporting beams into cockpits and lots of other fun toys, are from a novel from the author of Unicorn. Reportedly Tomino hated said adaption. UC's pretty straightforward other than weird Newtype stuff and the crazy late UC monarchies, G is deliberately crazy, and AGE is just appallingly poorly written.
yea I never really believed most of the specs about the Turn A, though the one I find the most beliviable is it having the ability to transport weapons to itself via it's artificial black hole generator due to the fact on the MG, it has the ability to remove its chest missiles and has holes for it and also Tomino did set up somewhat of a time line of prior to the Turn Wars that starts off with the space colonies peaceing and the story for g reco taking place and after that eco terrorists unleashing DG cells everywhere

I ended up watching little witch acedemia. It's good but i dunno why i bothered asking about it when it's pretty much just an OVA, even though it's listed as a movie on my anime list.
Well they premiered it in theatre/s first. [editline]2nd February 2015[/editline] 2 is coming out in 3 monthsish too, gonna be great.
So what's happening to Assroom? Why the delay?
Assroom? really?
Assroom? really?
Yes
So what's happening to Assroom? Why the delay?
Ep 3 didnt air in japan last week due to a delay and instead aired this week. Crunchyroll got to air it last week tho so we got ep 3 again this week.
Ep 3 didnt air in japan last week due to a delay and instead aired this week. Crunchyroll got to air it last week tho so we got ep 3 again this week.
... what was even the point of airing it on crunchyroll last week then?
... what was even the point of airing it on crunchyroll last week then?
i guess they just aired it because they could we either weren't getting an episode last week or this week. end result was the same [editline]1st February 2015[/editline] there wasn't really any reason NOT to air it
