I'd argue if you pick it up expecting all that, your experience won't be nearly as good

reboot of something from the 70-s, how could anyone not expect it?
what do you guys think of Samurai Champloo?
I honestly like it almost as much as Bebop, I really enjoy the historic Japan/Hip-Hop mix it has.
Although I must say I can tell it suffers from a case of "I'm trying to be the next Bebop" which is evident in a lot of areas. IDK if Watanabe meant for it to be like this or what
-The title of the show has the same format
-Mugen AKA "definitely not Spike" (This is the big one for me. Stylish womanizing rogue with a criminal past turned freelancer, who has incredible combat skills that revolve around smooth movement and improvization? AND voiced by Blum? Cmon!)
-The pacing/episode layout/storytelling form
-The whole "group of allies who for some reason are determined to remind eachother that they're definitely not friends/dont care about eachother even though literally anyone would form a bond/friendship in their circumstances" treatment all the main characters give eachother until the end
besides this I really do like it though
I like it less than Bebop for several subjective reasons and like 1 objective reason.
It's a re-through of Bebop, and doesn't try to do anything special. As for the subjective reasons, space>japan, cowboys>samurais, jazz>hip hop.
I still enjoyed it, though.
nice bit of manga

the new jojos manga is looking good
A/Z is so fucking awful, yet I cannot stop watching it. What is this dark magic?

Why does everything use "IS THIS A NEW STAND ATTACK?" as a joke?
I've seen it used in NekoPara and Neptunia
That's a bad sign
because it's cool to reference JoJo
but the best JoJo reference is not a single line, but turning your entire thing into JoJo. Like Tsunken.
Maybe I'll appreciate JoJo references after I actually watch JoJo

Dude I only watch it to see how more retarded it can get, every episode I am surprised again and again

it's better to read jojo
What is the name of the manga? Image search gave me nothing.
it's better to read jojo
It's best to do both.
it's better to read jojo
I take long enough just trying to watch shows, I don't think I'd fair much better reading manga :v:

the anime adaptation is good but the manga will always be better
I love Birdy.
Birdy is really fun, the dub is actually done fairly well.
Birdy what? The Mighty?
If you have only watched Decode you should watch the original OVA which is much better (though it's based on the original manga), and while you're at it read Birdy II (the remake manga)
decode horrificially massacres much of the main plot elements though not necessarily all bad. I still need to fully watch Decode, but I'll do that when it's not like 30 quid.
