I was at my Universities market day yesterday, pretty much where all the clubs and societies set up to represent themselves. It seems like the anime club is well and truly a no go. Filled with shifty neckbeards, anime merch sprawled out over the desk, and eva screening that night. I watched the stand for a while, some socially awkward person would shuffle up, exchange a few words and shuffle away. I'm tempted to swing by and check it out honestly, but then again i may just stay the fuck away. I have you guys to talk to about anime, at least.

Crunchyroll or Funimation legally. There may be some other services in Europe that we don't have in North America as well.

it's an old series that predates the new age of animu streaming so it won't be available anywhere legally online. the newer movies of it were available on hulu for a while tho
MVM holds the licenses for the original series in PAL region (sub-licensed from Media Blasters in NA)
VIZ holds the licenses for the movies in NA region, but i'm not sure about PAL
could always just read the manga as well
Man the OST in the Hellsing OVA is so fucking disappointing in comparison to the old show.
And I dunno, the OVA just doesn't feel as grim either. Artstyle seems so off, so much 3D.

Opinions from anyone here that has bought from mandarake before? I've been doing some research to get a limited edition figure, but I've only found that place, Amazon (for 2x the cheapest mandarake's price) and suruga-ya (a bit less, but it probably doesn't include shipping costs).
I've guided myself a bit with /a/'s guide, but I also wanted to check with you guys. They say the damaged boxes are slight bumps and small dents and stuff like that (which I couldn't really care less about) -- how was the stuff you bought from there?
i bought a light novel from mandarake before and it was in good condition

mandarake doesn't include shipping costs in the price either. for my figure it was ~$25 for EMS but it might be slightly cheaper with DHL. although i'm not sure i would try sending a figure through DHL. and i'm not sure what the shipping prices would be for you since you're not in USA.

Watched the Thermae Romae live-action movie, was a really great adaptation.

I thought it was pretty good considering the latter half of the first series, it got a bit weird and rapey for a while. On a better note I just dropped £70 on buying Beserk and Cowboy Bebop.
I honestly liked SAOI even if it was iffy at times but SAOII felt like the author just wants to milk this series to death instead of getting the studio to make Accel World S2.
