hot glue is fucking shit, falls apart easy as hell. It's probably not safe to use on the PVC either since it'll melt it.
Just use super glue and be REALLY FUCKING CAREFUL.
There's also that special glue for plastics, can't remember what it's called, epoxy or something but that wont work on the soft parts of your figure if that's what you're using it for.
If you're trying to fix the soft parts you're basically fucked.

If you're desperate you could go to a hobby store/order online and just buy plastic cement. It literally fuses the plastic together so you wouldn't exactly have to worry about it coming apart. I've confirmed that it works on PVC so you shouldn't have any problems.
