You're missing someone off of the Osu list...

I haven't been playing much lately but fuck it.
Same case with me actually:
They call it fabulous Hi-res 1080p.

I call it utter crap quality that is blurred to hell and is not what you're paying for.
Learn to sharpen and make stuff that is actually made for the intended resolution it'll be published in (the border is pixelated, could also possibly be a shit encode job). I say.
I pray to God that it's just some jerk that fucked up the encode when it comes to the pixelation. But the lack of quality (especially making the image sharp) in something that is supposed to be quality is entirely the company's fault.
Oh come on, it's not that bad.
Oh come on, it's not that bad.
Yes it is. If I was going to buy a Bluray product becuase I want SHARP BIG DETAILS which is the whole point of Bluray then I sure damn well want it to be there. If I wanted it to be blurry I'd buy the DVD to play on my full HD screen.

They look pretty sharp to me :/
They should add ingame time to the signatures for a day.

I'm studying German :buddy:

Splitting hairs IMO. It's a just a desktop wallpaper.

It's a screenshot.
They look pretty sharp to me :/
Then you have yet to see some sharp images somehow.
Splitting hairs IMO. It's a just a desktop wallpaper.
What is that supposed to mean? A desktop wallpaper should especially be sharp because it is a still image. And as Joppu pointed out, it isn't a wallpaper, it's a screenshot from the Bluray.

Take in mind that the image source is a compressed JPEG, so the edges are cranky and the compression is enhanced.

They just upscaled the DVD with bilinear filtering?
Looks fine to me.
They just upscaled the DVD with bilinear filtering?
I don't think so, but I do have doubts that the material was high enough for 1080p and had to be upscaled.
Looks fine to me.
What does? Did you look at my above post?
Also tried to see if it was possible to prove it even when re-sizing, and whilst it's not by much (since re-sizing obviously makes it better) it's still noticeable.
You can also notice that the image clearly is blurred in the fullscale version above when your browser minimizes the image and you flip between the two.

Besides, it's just K-On which it's particularly detailed to begin with. It's not like we're talking about Metropolis quality here.
That's a reaaaaaallly tiiiiiiny difference. I couldn't have noticed the difference unless it's been pointed out.
Can you post a screencap from the original DVD release?
Besides, it's just K-On which it's particularly detailed to begin with. It's not like we're talking about Metropolis quality here.
It's not just K-ON, Bakemonogatari and EF is like this too, and probably a ton more. And what show it is has nothing to do with it either. The product fails to deliver what it is supposed to deliver and that makes me react since we are talking popular bigscale companies here.
That's a reaaaaaallly tiiiiiiny difference. I couldn't have noticed the difference unless it's been pointed out.
To me it's a night and day difference.
Can you post a screencap from the original DVD release?
I'm not sure if that is readily available at all. After what I've seen they only focus on Broadcast and Bluray.
To me it's a night and day difference.
If you hadn't have said you sharpened the image I wouldn't have noticed.
Mezzo Forte was a good show, it had the perfect blend of action and hentai scenes :P
anything similar?
Hentai anime is crap.

It's stuff like this that makes us media people cringe. How we notice critical flaws whilst "normal people" don't even notice them at all.
awesome I'm normal \o/

I notice stuff like that but I don't care.

I wouldn't call this a critical flaw.
dgg, sharpness =/= enjoyment
:v:
I notice stuff like that but I don't care.
That's just as bad. If not worse.
Can you post a screencap from the original DVD release?
Found only DVD and Bluray. Nobody gives a fuck about the DVD's. And I understand that well since there is 720p bluray after all.
dgg, sharpness =/= enjoyment
:v:
For me it actually has a bit to say when it comes to this. if it is a medium that is supposed and made for being sharp then it bugs me. A.K.A blurry bluray will decrease my enjoyment because it will bug me. But if it is a broadcast then it doesn't matter that much as long as I can see what's going on because it is a broadcast after all, they don't charge anyone money for it at all either so there is no standing point to complain either.
I wouldn't call this a critical flaw.
It really is. Bigtime. It's not Bluray quality if it's blurry and looks upscaled (which it probably is).
I wouldn't call this a critical flaw.
Seeing as the whole point of bluray is ignored, It's a critical flaw.
Seeing as the whole point of bluray is ignored, It's a critical flaw.
It wasn't ignored.
It wasn't ignored.
What was it then? It wasn't followed in any case.
