Except for test installs, where I often use a single space, I never used bad passwords. I never even bothered with them until I read a book on computer security, and ever since have had at least one non-alpha, usually an underscore if allowed, and at least eight letters. My root password is a 19-character, multiple-symbol incomprehensible mess that I only remember for a hexadecimal-numbered, alternating-case pun on a Jules Verne novel.

I never had a weak password, the worst ones I ever had were those ones where the website randomly gives one through e-mail.
