Topic slipping; must rectify.

Finally gotten a picture of a fenrir that will work.

A pair of sloths and a Infiltrator mark II (stealthsniper and scout.)
Undines: basically a water elemental, both in name and purpose. Carries a oneshot torpedo launcher that fires a volley of five. Kind of makes you think twice about running your mech into that nice convenient lake, eh? There was also an above water varient that carries long range missiles.

Scout armor. Bit more of punch than other types. WoB had a hand in it's design.

Grey Death Legion Scout armor. Closer to what other posts have shown and a break with Battletechs 'tank-you-wear' style of battle armor. I don't get the second pic though. It's the GREY Death Legion, not BLUE. I've heard that other groups have brought it from them though.

I like the T-51b power armor
Shit looks awesome
Battletech
God, those pictures remind me of Rouge Trader 40k all over again.
I guess they just lug around that ridiculously heavy Armour without any kind of motors to help them then.
they do
since it's not really armor so much as it is many layers of clothing
God, those pictures remind me of Rouge Trader 40k all over again.
I don't like 40k at all. The backstory gives me writers block; either I can't take it seriously and it's beyond farcical or I can take it seriously and I can't sleep. I might have liked rogue trader though. Neither issue was a problem.
I don't like 40k at all. The backstory gives me writers block; either I can't take it seriously and it's beyond farcical or I can take it seriously and I can't sleep.
I was talking more about how that battletech stuff reminds me of 1st ed./rougt trader 40k, which had a lot of pictures like that which just look goofy or badly proportioned. Hell, just the models look like goofy 1st ed. 40k stuff.
Also, I'll admit that the grimdark theme is pretty bad, but then there's orks to fix that.

IMHO, as much as I like Battletech and 40k, I think that both of them painted themselves into a corner. Still, it doesn't make either less awesome, in design of units.

Yes, it is technically power armor. Also a toilet with twin machine guns.
I was talking more about how that battletech stuff reminds me of 1st ed./rougt trader 40k, which had a lot of pictures like that which just look goofy or badly proportioned.
Just because it isn't as humanoid just like the powered armours you're used to does not mean it's goofy or badly propertioned. Form after fuction. Elementals look deadly and inhuman to me. The inhuman bit just makes them nastier. There's good reason why the IS thought they might be aliens. And a fan rewrite of rogue trader might be nice. Same tone, but with all the new races like the Tau in.

It has nothing to do with what I'm used to. I'm saying that the models are just look bad and unsymmetrical. And don't say it's because of function, because it looks more like it's out of laziness. And so does the art, to more of a degree. Rogue Trader was like that. This is a pretty good example.

Everybody's shooting in random directions and the marines have joints made out of jelly. Also, the armor looks silly. Those battletech pics have the same problem.
And also, RT era was pretty bad. The rules made no sense and the plot was thin. It wasn't until 2nd and 3rd edition when they started to bulk up the plot and have the rules make sense. Then they turned completely grimdark with 4th ed.
Anyways, I'm done with arguing now because this is just derailing the thread.

Can replicate any surface, built in muscle suit, and thermal regulation system so you can't be detected with thermal sensing equipment all in one.
Bump!
The Sylph: an elemental that flies. Bit of a weird idea. Home clan design.

Another gnome.

Undine in its element.

Salamander in action, although I will admit, it's not the best picture.
Even more Elemental pics.

And as a break from the usual theme of Elementals, Elementals and even more elementals, here's a few IS designs:
The purifier. Medium ambusher/trooper. Can hide itself like a octopus. The blakists use it.

The Fa-Shih. A capellan design, unique in the ability to lay mines. Bit thin-skinned though.

Just for laughs: Lego Elemental!

im sorry but everyone else in this thread is now incredibly gay and this is the only valid post
Again, you are out of Uniform soldier! WHERE IS YOUR POWERED ARMOUR!
NON-btech stuff now.
Orz Marine (artists' impression)

These guys are really freaking badass. How badass, you ask? When an Orz Nemesis gets into a fight, it's favorite tactic is to release 4-6 of these things, which jet across space to the target (in a universe where nukes are a medium-low power weapon!) cut their way in and shoot every thing that moves and some things that don't. Freaking Badass.
Terminator Armor: the only thing I like about 40k. This is the epitome of tanks you wear. THE powered armor.

Tactical dreadnought armour is pretty cool but i like the normal mk8 power armour more.
I didn't notice it at first, but it's 40k and Tau. Just had to find the marking.

"Very nice, i like!"
Tactical dreadnought armour is pretty cool but i like the normal mk8 power armour more.
Yea, mk 8 is really nice, I wish they actually gave more of those pieces in a regular box.

The normal space marine armor is mk 7.

You know what, I'm just going to post all of the other space marine marks straight off the lexicanum.
Mk 1. "Thunder Armor". This was used before the Emperor came and liberated Earth.

Mk 2. "Crusade Armor". This was used during most of the Emperor's crusades and was the first fully enclosed power armor.

Mk 3. "Iron Armor". An updated variant of the mk 2 for high density areas such as near the galactic core.

Mk 4. "Imperial Maximus". Designed around the end of the crusades when current marks were wearing out. Probably one of my favorite marks.

Mk 5. "Heresy Armor". This was a temp armor many loyal legions had to use during the Horus Heresy due to not being equipped with Mk 4s yet, while many of the heretic legions already were equipped.

Mk 6. "Corvus Armor". Created during the Heresy with a mixture of old and new features to replace current armor.

Bump.
More battletech stuff(links, since I can't get the pics directly here):
http://www.camospecs.com/Miniature.asp?ID=4208
Afreet. Speed demon, built, designed, fielded and piloted by the clan of speed demons, Ice Hellion. Armed with a recoiless rifle and two retractable vibroblades.
http://www.camospecs.com/Miniature.asp?ID=4871
Golem: a direct response to the Gnome which I showed you earlier. Very much an example of the classic Battletech school of powered armor.

http://www.camospecs.com/Miniature.asp?ID=3838
http://www.camospecs.com/Miniature.asp?ID=1023
The Kanazuchi: It's a toss up between this guy and the Golem who is the most tank-like of the Btech PA.
http://www.camospecs.com/Miniature.asp?ID=1023
http://www.camospecs.com/Miniature.asp?ID=3495

Terran marines
