To be honest I don't see why people like Valve that much. Not trying to say they're not awesome or anything but I really don't think they're [I]that[/I] good. They've made Half Life, Team Fortress and Counter Strike... And some other games but honestly I don't think they've done anything revolutionary for quite a while now.

Oh yeah totally forgot about The Movies, Black & White and Fable; when I think about it those are some of the best games I've ever played! Lionhead Studios are definitely one of my favourite developer companies!
