Never any music except boss fights. You can hear yourself breathing even.
I find this game very immersive.

Taking part in an air-raid, or sneaking into a facility, or roaring across the planes in a tank caravan, planetside is amazing (when it's not lagging).
Receiver was super immersive for me. Mainly due to the challenge of one hit kills and the relative complexity of the controls. It really forces you to put all of your attention on the game.

Westwood really nailed the whole world coming to an end vibe.
