Latest I can remember is the deaths of Guan Yu and Zhuge Liang in Dyansty Warriors 8 (Not really a spoiler if you know your history/the series) and any of the final story missions since you slay the opposing officers rather than kill them. Pretty much the whole story is a downer after Zhuge Liang's death, all the old heroes are dead with everyone else just limping on in a tired war. There's probably sadder moments but I can't think of them right now.
Whenever I die to a lagspike in any game
Whenever I fall in lava in Minecraft and lose lots of rare valuable shit that took hours to collect.
Almost always when ending such a wonderful game. It always hits me hard because it means there's that much less to explore and experience to the fullest.
Mass Effect 1, Virmire, bad result with Wrex. [sp]I was trying to calm Wrex down, and when I finally thought I had him chilled, Ashley shoots him from over my shoulder.[/sp]
That happened on one of my playthroughs. I was planning to [sp]let Ashley live, but then she killed Wrex. Say hello to nuclear hellfire, bitch[/sp].
Speaking of Mass Effect, the only gaming moment(s) that made me legitimately tear up recently were [sp]every resolution of the Genophage. Either Mordin dies or all the krogans eventually die. That scene where Mordin just rides the elevator up and fixes his mistake while singing his song...damn[/sp]. Legitimately one of the best character moments I've ever seen anywhere.
End of either Mafia 2 or Red Dead Redemption gets me pretty good

He came onto TS just before a line battle and left us this little piece of text

Professor Layton and the Unwound Future was the only game to bring me to tears.
Eli's death.
Also, the story behind the end of L4D (In The Sacrafice and The Passing). Rest in peace, Bill.

I cried at the end of Phoenix Wright 3. I thought my Ace Attorney adventures came to an end. Little did I know, there were still a few more pages left...
When I bought the Banshee on Planetside 2 and upgraded it with thermal and whatnot, just to realize its about as useful as spitting at the enemy.

Well, the only time a lawyer can cry is when it's all over.
The death of [sp]Snow[/sp] in the end of The Wolf Among Us Ep. 1.
When I was playing Spelunky and I died right before the Yama Fight, i was so sad
I did the Shun path in Morenatsu.
It was a pathetic sad, seeing as how I already completed every other path available at the time. I hoped that by completing all the paths, it would unlock the other characters. However, Only 3 paths had been made and translated, so my efforts were for naught.
I once clicked on a mine on my first go. : (
Is that even possible? I thought they specifically programmed the game for that not to happen, and that the mines would actually be placed after the first click.

I was playing a san andreas dayz mod once with a friend.
We hadn't seen anyone for like 15 minutes. Then we see this scruffy looking survior dude running towards us. We point our weapons at him, and he puts his hands in the air. We decide he is not a threat. We hang out for a while sit in a circle and just do emotes and shit. Suddenly for no reason I get up and murder this bloke in cold blood.
We loot the poor fellow. His gear was shitty and he had nothing good on him. He was no threat to us and it's obvious that he just wanted to hangout and maybe form a group.
After that I felt really guilty.
