I like how everyone assumes the OP wants ways to get out of jury duty.
Loudly and repeatedly generally makes everyone hate you. I wasn't there when it happened so the guy could have been lying out of his ass, but would ANYONE want to be in the room with a man who repeatedly let out large farts in the period of an hour?
Pun intended? :iiam:
I received a notice in the mail that I've been summoned for jury duty. I have to go to the courthouse in about a month and will probably be there for the entire day. Has anyone else been a juror? What should I expect?
Just have to keep yourself busy really, It'll be a slight chance you'll even be selected anyway.
Freedom of speech my ass.
freedom of speech isn't absolute. never has been.
GUILTY! :buddy:
Start screaming the guitar opening to fade to black in the middle of the proceedings and then move unto singing zeppelins good times bad times starting with the first chorus
freedom of speech isn't absolute. never has been.
^ This. Like all amendments to the US, there are limitations as to how far that freedom can go. Take threatening as an example, or verbal harassment.

Bonus points for saying" im blacker than I look ladies" then taking your clothes off
I got called for jury duty once, I sat through a five hour jury selection process only for them to decide that I did not have to sit on the trial because I was a full time student.
Bring a book or something, you will be waiting a lot (finished mine last week)
Bring a can of oil and put some wires and a watch on it in case you need the time.
God damnit I want to watch 12 Angry Men again.

o shit my jury trial is in a month, i think jdk is gonna decide my innocence
o shit my jury trial is in a month, i think jdk is gonna decide my innocence
What've you been charged with?
What've you been charged with?
assault 2nd i made a thread about it
Say your hateful against all races. Worked for me.
My AI said it fucking sucks. Basically, it's extremely boring, and you're there from like 8:00 to 5:00, with only a 1 hour lunch break.
assault 2nd i made a thread about it
Oh yeah, I remember that. Good luck man.
Say your hateful against all races. Worked for me.
"I can't stand them fuckin' humans."
Solid way to get out of jury doody. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3A_jeCAfn0E
it says on the form if you're 70 over or older you can be permanently excused from jury duty did you not want to be excused?
Who the fuck are you? [editline]19th April 2011[/editline]
dont tell anyone about the case who isnt in the jurors room or you can be held in contempt of court.
Good point. Actually you can discuss anything that happened in court as that's a matter of public record but how you came to your verdict is not for discussion with anyone.
Be racist to get out of it.
Bring a big bag of doritos and share it with the jurors during the trial. And popcorn.
Fistbump the judge... Like a boss!
Just have to keep yourself busy really, It'll be a slight chance you'll even be selected anyway.
;) I was just getting comfy wth a good book when I was called an hour and a half after we all signed in. The trial then lasted eight days and we were in court for most of that apart from one day where the poor kid was really struggling to get her act together to give evidence.

If you fit the criteria and all that shit they'll let you sit in as a jury member. Just sit there all day and look at the facts then you make a group decision.
Every time the judge says something parody it with that "nuh nuhhh nuhh nuhh" thing really loudly
