The improperly loaded image was cached so when you reloaded it used that one (web browsers do this a lot as in increases browsing speed on websites where many images are reused per page).
It fixed itself when the bad image was removed from the cache.
Like Jorori said you can use CTRL + F5 to fix this as that will reload the page and skip the cache.
