Just watched Tales of Earthsea subbed.
Just like every other Tales of X, the story made absolutely no sense, the voice acting was horrible, and it had a plot that was about as easy to follow as a foreign quantum physics teacher. [sp]Especially when she turns into the dragon. I mean what the fuck, that was the most random thing I could have thought up.[/sp]

That movie has a lot of circumstances to it. First of all it was originally supposed to be directed by Hayao Miyazaki whom many consider a legendary director (who also is a huge fan of the original novel series, which is awesome btw) but instead it was pushed to his son Goro Miyazaki because of some family drama shit. Anyways, turns out Goro couldn't direct for shit and the movie was voted the worst directed movie of the year by some prestigious awards ceremony.
There's also the fact that the Tales of Earthsea series has been continually cursed by horrible movies/tv series adaptations. Which is a shame because the series is widely acclaimed to be one of the best fantasy works ever but every single attempt of an adaptation has ended horribly.
