But I've experienced similar scenarios with other games before.
At one point, I forcefully pulled the DVD drive open and smashed the disk on the ground to bits after almost finishing a level that took me several consecutive hours for that session, but got killed right before reaching the end.

lol, never ever I do any physical rage unleashing on any game I played no matter how frustrating or difficult it was
from NES Contra & Super Mario to SNES Megaman & Castlevania to PS1 Metal Gear Solid and Tomb Raider to PS2 Stuntman & God Hand to whatever game out there in the present that's painstakingly hell's punishment in digital format
try playing always on the hardest diff setting available on any game you play next time, that's what I always do since it increases play time and is more rewarding lol (you can exclude Touhou though lol)
