Task manager, if it blocks that boot into Safe Mode with Networking, download Malwarebytes and run a quick scan.
don't get mbam, get microsoft security essentials, it's run by Microsoft, so you know it'll work, and it eats up next to nothing of your resources.

Looks pretty damned authentic, I'll give them that. But they could at least use more believable errors. Seems almost a shame that they've put so much effort into making it look like a windows utility and then thrown in particularly unimaginative errors.

I suggested Mbam first because it has a higher detection rate for things like this, once the threat is removed he can remove whatever shitware he has and install MSE.
I already have MSE and it hasn't said anything, even did a routine scan yesterday.

Yeah probably do the whole Safe Mode with Networking thing. If it shows up in Safe Mode try downloading [url=http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/rkill]rkill[/url] and running it in a normal instance of Windows.
Or you could just drop kick your computer out of a window, whichever you think works best.
Doing network with safe mode thing and I seem to not have any programs and can't navigate to C:/. Managed to start scanning though
