Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and The Chronicles of Spellborn (MMORPG, now dead).

I loved it.
I thought the combat, gamespace, story, and character customization were great.
Sure, it didn't have the moral choice system the past two Fable games had, but not every game needs one of those to be good.
It may not be a good Fable game, but I still thought it was a good game.
It's an average game, but it has something that pulls me back to play it every few months.

Spectacular game. Other than a few bugs and some translation issues, it is great game to sink a large portion of your time into. The only real problem is a lack of tutorials for a very in-depth game.

This might not be in the same league as Silent Hill 2 or I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, but it makes for a great game in the style of a B-Movie.
One of my favorite FPS's was Shogo: MAD. Unfortunately it sold terribly. Mainly because it was released at the same time as Half-Life.
It had awesome music too:

it was smart and funny and just full of charm

The best zombie game in the world to date.

Had so much fun playing this back then.
I'm just gonna dump a few of unkown games from my childhood.

The very first Ghost Recon. That was what got me hooked on tactical FPS's.

not necessarily underrated, but a lot of people don't know about this brilliant game. the amount of detail and creativity put into this is fucking mind-blowing

by "not underrated" i mean i don't think that many people who have played it don't like it, just not very known
Almost pee'd myself with the beans when I was young. Great game.

Absolute masterpiece which had a prominent presence in my childhood.
Always wanted to try that game out, but finding a copy is near impossible.
GamersGate has it.
EDIT: Avoid the demo, I have no idea whats up with it, but it seems to show the worst parts of the game, the screenshots show much better.

The gameplay was a bit dull, but had a really solid story and setting in my opinion
And multiple endings, can't go wrong with that

But it's overrated. And also it's a piece of shit.
Yeah, rate my stupid can't-see-sarcasm butt "funny", Lolkork.

My favorite RPG, and one of my favorite games. The boss battles, combat and class systems, and story are some of the best I've seen in an RPG. Sadly, it's console only.
Second Sight, this game is good. Another one I liked was one called Rouge Trooper.

Favorite game of all time. Easily the best ARPG I've ever played, as long as you've also got Immortal Throne. And Nordic Games may be planning on reviving it:

The Recent free dlc 'Blood Games' has fixed many of the flaws, and there is a community patch out for the translation issues.

Not only was it a brilliant game, but you could tell it had five years worth of time and effort poured into it by a very passionate team. Deserved a much bigger fanfare than it received.

People don't even read the headlines anymore.
Far Cry 2 was actually underrated. It had some strange AI and bugs sometimes, but it doesnt get enough credit for some of its other ideas. The multiplayer was really fun in some of the maps, too.

I told my friend to buy this game, He said he doesn't play "Anime Games", I say "How the fuck is it anime?"
He replied WORD FOR WORD, "You have a sword that comes out of your hand and slices people's heads off and that kind of stuff."
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

In what other shooter game today can you go such ridiculous speeds and use projectile weapons at the same time?
It did get a lot of praise when it was released, but now it has just suddenly sunken under the radar, and Hi-Rez doesn't seem to care about it as much as they used to.
And I guess a lot of people just jumped on the "automatic weapons ruined the game" wagon.
