This ones really great too, with a mix of God of War style action and cinematic cutscenes. The story's great and pretty interesting. It's also really fucking intense, you get to fight a giant god buddha larger than Earth.

A damn shame Cing went bust, I would have loved to see a trilogy. Although I should be glad I got a sequel as it was barely released due to the company's bankruptcy.

My favorite game.
Damn. Was about to post that one.
Troika games should use kickstarter to make a sequel. I would back that.

Holy shit there is no way in hell that wouldn't reach it's goal.
I mean seriously everybody and their grandmother loves this game and thinks it's underrated
And It's not like Activision is holding any important rights, it might just be a spiritual successor or something new but similar since the whole thing is based of the World of Darkness.
Surprised this hasn't been posted yet

It's got a nice artstyle and the multiplayer is still pretty damn fun.

This game was pretty neat.
I think the reason it never got the recognition it deserved was people simply not giving it a chance as a result of Episode 1's mediocrity.
This game had plenty of the things I loved about the Genesis games and I really think it was worthy of the name "Sonic 4".
If an Episode 3 came out which improved upon Episode 2 as much as Episode 2 improved on Episode 1, I dare say it could be the best Sonic game in history.

Sure, nowadays this spinoff series has a pretty dedicated following, but at the time it was first made a lot of people decried the way Megaman transitioned the 3D, and of course Capcom seems to have a personal vendetta on it. For me personally it was love at first sight.
Dang, I've always wanted to play Vampire: TMB.
This thread just confirms my thoughts.
I hadn't heard of El Matador until a friend told me about it, and it's actually pretty cool. The story's forgettable, but the gameplay is between Max Payne 2 and Max Payne 3. Has a lot of weapons, too. And I think it actually uses some sounds from Max Payne 1/2 because they're public domain or something.

Its got great story and good stealth gameplay.
A few years ago i watched a lot of gameplay and thought it looked o fun that one day I bought a copy, but brought it back because the right disc wasn't in the case. The store couldn't find it and I never got it...
Also I really liked the Gothic games despite never finding the time to finish them. A shame the controls for the first two were terrible.

I had never even heard of this game until I won it on playblink, but once I started playing it I loved it. I think it is the only steam game I have 100% of the achievements for (including one of playing through the entire game in which all text and audio is replaced with the word Droggeljug). More than likely the next game I buy will be the sequel.

The presentation and graphics were pretty meh. The story was decent though, the characters were mostly great, and the music was really nice. I really loved how fleshed out the setting was, and how mystical the songs sounded. The battle system was pretty unique, too.

Loved this game even though it looked like crap and runs like crap. Made by the S.T.A.L.K.E.R developers I believe.

The game was old but fun.

This game was nice, too.
Huh? Metro 2033 isn't underrated, is it? I see people talk about it all the time, and I think it got good reviews.
Surprised nobody mentioned these yet.

Sacrifice
A one of a kind real time strategy game, kind of hard to explain. You're basically a vagrant wizard who arrives at a hub where five Gods communicate with you, all of which are seeking a wizard to do their dirty work. Whether it be Pyro's attacks on Persephone on trying to industrialize her forests, to Stratos needing you to accompany a researcher of his for forbidden knowledge, or James wanting you to awaken a Dragon to fight for him, you get a real sense of conflict going on between all five gods which escalates to more and more crazy shit. There's a bit more to it than that, but it'd be spoilers at that point.
You're fully able to choose which god you want to serve until near the end of the game where you've basically committed to one. Persephone is basically the goddess of Nature and Life, James is the god of Earth, Stratos is the god of Air and Knowledge, Pyro is the god of Fire and Destruction, and Charnel is the god of Death. Depending who you choose to do missions for, your spellbook gets different spells and summonable creatures, which will be your army.
Gameplay wise, you (usually) go around fighting other wizards who have their own unique spells and summonable creatures. Things get very hectic because Sacrifice has its own game mechanics unique to it that still haven't been done in any other video games to date. The only real problem with the game is it's not balanced that well (Charnel's monsters are usually very underpowered for example) but aside from that it's a must play if you enjoy RTS games.
I also want to mention Clive Barker's Undying but I'm out of time and can't write up a good description of it right now.

I second that... Undying was pretty sick I remember when I first played it, very unique. I didn't like Clive Barker's Jericho as much, although I thought it was a pretty good mindless shooter.
I am sure that the Broken Sword series could also do with a lot more attention than it has garnered.

Played this when I was a kid, sadly no one really heard of it.
Also,
