Haven't had a first "car" yet, but I do have a first truck. Specs: 350 smallblock rebuilt at maximum 15k miles ago, 3 speed auto, dual exhaust 92k miles repainted once by me and my dad (spray paint, i think we did a good job) I expect at least 10 years until the engine needs to be rebuilt, 5 or so for the tranny. Only thing is, can't afford to drive it. $20 a day just to drive it to school and back. But it's worth it IMO to ride in a truck thats been in the family since it was new.
Dude I know what your talking about spray painting cars, its cheap easy and if you get a scratch, touch it up with another can.I actually just painted a 1985 camaro two tone red and black with metal flake.
Yeah I don't even know how it happened, my dad must be a champ at getting lost, or he drove it around on purpose just so I end up with a shitty car like everyone else. lol
Was your car manual or auto? And maybe he took long road trips alot.
I'm currently in the process of working a deal out to get a Chevy Tahoe, it has a bunch of aftermarket parts like it has a 6 inch lift, huge mud tires, a front pushbar/brushguard with floodlights, same on the back but without flood lights. It is black, it looks like a fucking stealth bomber, if i was to roll up on someone bitches would be running. Oh and it is 4 wheel drive with a V6, fun fun.
I want a Lancia Beta Coupe.
1987 Toyota MR2, blew the transmission trying to pass a guy on a bike. Pulled over and gave him the finger.
My first car was a saxo my 2nd was a corsa my 3rd was a saxo
I'm sorry. Actually, Corsas are alright

'97 Chevy 1500 that my grandfather gave to me as a graduation present. Have to put power steering fluid in him every once in a while because it leaks a little bit, but other than that, it's in perfect condition. Here is my first, and still only, car. It is a 1994 Honda Civic LX. Yeah. LX. Luxury. It's nice. This picture shows the pretty side of the car. Without the glare from the sun you would probably see the rust that is along the top of the windshield (lol, no rubber strip) and in other various crevices. On the front right fender this is a BIG dent. Along the back there are small dents. I guess the previous owner of this car had some people who disliked him/her and took a bat to it or something. But when I bought it was a lot worse. The major problems were: the front bumper, front left fender, driver side door were all severely damaged and needed to be replaced. As well as the alternator which I quickly found out when one day it wouldn't start. :V The body parts were replaced with a few trips to the junk yard and my brother's friend somehow had a spare alternator on hand which I bought for 20 bucks. The radio doesn't work. I listen to the wind. But it runs beautifully. I love this car.
1985 E28 535i its shit, i still drive it
Say hello to all the guys and girls that are going to be laughing at your dumb ass as you cruize around thinking you are the bee's knees. (Ironic post, 19 and a commodore driver)
No one said they thought their car was cool.
you're calling it a piece of shit, you must've hated it
You can still call something a piece of shit and love it. back when I used to go to high school we got transferred (and merged with) another school brand new building and all, my school was built way back in the 60's so it was well showing its age and falling apart but when we changed buildings EVERYONE wanted it back believe me.

My first car: 2006 Honda Pilot It isn't a piece of shit. It's a beautiful car, only having about 25000 miles on it. '96 Dodge Neon. It's so attractive and it's very safe. It scored a "Poor" rating in 1996. [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/99563/neon%20pimped.jpg[/img_thumb] This is what I want to do with my car. This is what it looks like now.

My gay shit '96 Chevy Monte Carlo. Mostly still trashed because of my sister and brother.
falling apart from the inside out, but its so easy to drive
i have two camaro isn't ready yet though
'99 Escort LX. Automatic. 2.0L SPI 2000 SOHC engine. Sort of weak, but its an economy car, and gets 30 mpg in the city, so what can you expect? Its been a good car to me so far. It hasn't ever stalled or had any major problems. We bought it used for $500 and it had 120k miles on it in July 2008 and now has 140k. The engine had been rebuilt so it technically has a next to new engine in it. Its also done pretty well rustwise, only the part under the driver door has rust, and that's pretty typical for a 10 year old car in South Dakota. The most work I've really put into it is replacing the stock speakers (they were blown) and change some of the instrument cluster bulbs (which is a pain in the ass since you have to drop the steering wheel to take it out) and the secondary turn signal bulbs. Changing the turn signal bulbs is a lot harder than it looks. You have to have really small hands to actually turn and pull the bulb housing out. Its no sports car, but it handles like a dream (at least for a cheap economy car). You can take sharp turns and park incredibly easy. I can't drive our family's Tahoe (in the background) since this car is so much more fun to drive.
2004 subaru outback here Seats are uncomfortable as hell, but I still loves it.
