http://wiki.garrysmod.com/changelist/ Updated again. We are planning to release the update by the end of the month, probably on 29th. It will require servers to update to make sure everyone is running the latest version.
Can you comment on this? Next Update v9
Don't start a multiplayer game? Put Steam into offline mode? Log out of friends service or go invisible? I am not Valve and I don't make Steam.
You could do `sv_lan 1`
sv_lan 1 still leaks IP onto community page and steam friends
@Rubat . Would you mind to give a comment for this issue?
@Rubat In x64 compilers, there is an error that doesn’t seem to affect anything but it’s strange what it is. In x32 there is no such thing. *** Error: Skybox vtf files for skybox/sky_day01_01 weren't compiled with the same size texture and/or same flags! Can't load skybox file skybox/sky_day01_01 to build the default cubemap!
This should be fixed on Dev. Its almost like Steam is a constantly changing platform. Either way, I doubt we can do anything about it, it happens even for P2P games despite us overriding the connection method via rich presence. Something to look into.
Reply in GitHub issue if you have updates on fonts
Obviously?
@Rubat Please pay attention to this. For several days I have been trying to create something like a volumetric ray for a spotlight, but the source engine shaders cannot do it. The only correct option is to attach point_spotlight to the model, but see what happens with the beam over time. The env_projectedtexture which is also attached to the model behaves normally and follows the animation, and the point_spotlight, on the contrary, begins to move invert. https://youtu.be/aaSuTVamZgQ
@MARK2580 Please pay attention to this. You must report bugs on GitHub and you should add the test map you made into the ticket.

Could this be added along with GetModelContents for the next update? Code's already there and would allow different decals/impact sounds to be used based on the part of the body hit for custom SWEPs.
https://i.imgur.com/WbqGaRg.jpg Please push Chromium Jokes aside, I'm in prerelease, those pages are intended to load? For some reasons I'm looking blank pages, maybe those will be added after release, but I might be wrong, that's why I'm not opening a github issue
Awesomium is really dated, it even gives up to render some websites
Isn't it pushed with 64bit presumably?
probably because Linux builds aren't 100% working and Mac builds don't work at all yet.
Hurr durr implement chromium or wait a notice from my lawyers garry!
I think it's probably less about it being the "legal" pages for the game, and more of the simple fact that Awesomium is so outdated that even built-in, official resources for the game fail to load now.
Should be fixed.
last time I checked linux there was some libc .so fix required to get it running properly as well as needing to change a kernel setting
Ah, the great 0.1% of players. Which don't even play because their game will crash or lag like crazy because intel graphics is terrible.
linux is for nerds and nerds are the ones making your gmod addons, smarty-pants
I don't know anyone that I could take seriously that makes addons in Garry's Mod somewhere else than Windows
I play GMod on Linux just fine. There's a few font and menu issues but nothing too breaking. OSX is definitely still a mine field of memory leaks and crashes from what I've heard, though.
As an addon developer, as long as you only code, it's fine. But if your work involves using various 2D/3D software applications and whatnot, Windows is the way, I can't imagine doing that on Linux. IIRC shitton of said software does not work on Linux.
Ley is working on linux
I think the Linux builds on the 64-bit branch are decent. If something is wrong you have to tell me because it's unlikely to change otherwise. The only issue I know of would be that anonymous user namespaces need to be enabled in your kernel for Chromium to work. It should be able to detect that and leave you with the amazing UX of blank HTML panels if it isn't, though.
