Another one joins the list.

@Rubat
What is the likelihood that this bug will be fixed at least in the next month ?
Problem with point_spotlight / SetParentAttachment · Issue #3821..
Is this related to float precision?

No, that's just displacements.
You mean they're not exactly flat?
I guess tracing displacements is not really as precise as tracing brushes, this why you can get all sorts of fun situations like black holes in displacements.

Updated with the changes since the April update.
Basically yes.
We need systematized, publicly known way to report servers that fake player counts.
Could just as well be the fact that Construct uses displacements with density of 4 which are known to cause all kinds of collision-related problems
Considering commit main/6031, wouldn't it be better to do bytePos, bitPos = net.BytesWritten()/net.BytesLeft()?
Better how?
What do you propose?
I can be a button near the new "Add To Favorites" button.
It can be in Server List.
Is can be a in-game check for real players.
It can be a thread on this forum.
It can be a section in main site

Nah, for some reason I thought it would be useful to return the amount of full bytes written as the first return value and the bit remainder as the second return value. But I don't actually see any benefit in that now so never mind
Other than that, maybe adding net.BitsLeft/Written would be nicer than making a function called 'bytes' return bits if you pass some magical 'true' argument
Email, web form, support ticket, forum thread. Assholes that fake players are way too fast now, flick of a finger and they're on new ip.
Anyone having an avatar related to anonymous or "Mr. Robot" is a fucking retard and should be deported.
...ok?
A server blacklist that is automated through in-game reporting could work, but these are prone to abusing. Especially you could fake a report request via third party tools and use it as a DDoS replacement against a target server.
Users are reporting that chromium branch makes their game hang indefinitely.

Latest changes documented as usual.
You can report fake servers to my email (robotboy655@facepunchstudios.com) or to the official support. (http://support.facepunchstudios.com/)
Also the game may just close itself without crashdump after spawn.
How often do you check email, approximately?
I sent an email on May 11
It looks like the Dev/Chromium branches are crashing all of a sudden in certain scenarios, maybe related to Cinema/HTML panels.
Crash (Dev/Chromium): Lua Panic, Not Enough Memory · Issue #3853 · Facepunch/garrysmod-issues
Could this be looked into? I don't think it's actually a Lua issue, but if it is, the crash dumps don't give the Lua Stack, so I don't know where to start.
Doesn't it just close the game without minidumps or freeze? Also got couple of Out of Memory errors. I confirm this issue is strongly related to chromium + mediaplayer.
And your email was acted upon already.
Ah, ok. I supposed you would answer. Thanks
If you want, I can send at support.facepunchstudios
Doesn't anyone care about uncontrolled shitposts in GMod Discord?
Was wondering when someone was gonna bring this up. The Gmod discord is as much a clusterfuck as the gmod subforum (which I still maintain has been made infinitely worse since the screenshots section got whacked as now all the screenshots have drowned everything else out) with the nonstop server and discord ads.
Do you want us working on the game or moderating a Discord server?
Facepunch could use the money they aren't spending on a PR person to pay someone to moderate the discord. Alternatively the income from Chunks could be used since it doesn't seem to be going towards development of it. As an alternative to that alternative we could just find someone who frequents the Gmod discord and who isn't one of the shitposters and/or spammers and ask them if they'd be willing to volunteer as a discord moderator. Fourth alternative: Use the community fund (wherever that went) to pay someone to act as discord moderator.
The shot was there I had to take it.
Paying someone to moderate a server sounds like trouble if you ask me
