Working on a PAYDAY-ish heists system. Don't have the safes and drills yet, but so far I've worked on getting some Nextbots to chase you and stuff. It's extremely simple and pretty fun even with extremely stupid bots.

0th wave - Kill the two initial guards
1st wave - Defend while you're drilling open the hinges on the vault door
2nd wave - Put a drill on a safe, defend it and wait till it done.
3rd wave - Repeat #2
I'll make it be an actual safe that opens up once it's done drilling, just need to get the model and animation done.

Ok, so we have 29 votes on making WAYWO every season. (I personally vote for the first schedule which starts from Jan : D)
So the schedule will be Winter (Dec - Feb) , Spring (Mar - May) , Summer (Jun - Aug) , Autumn (Sep - Nov).

Been almost a year since I posted in WAYWO, and well I guess I feel pretty comfortable with my new project so here's a little taste:
The idea is that anyone with a bit of lua know-how can use this to make their own RPG gamemode without having to build a bunch of RPG systems. We'll see how far I get with it, so far it's been a blast to work on!

For some reason been feeling the modding vibe this weekend, so decided to almost completely rework my Easy Animation Tool, and do some updates to some of my other mods.
Still a lot of work to be done with this one, but this hopefully will make it a lot more powerful and more intuitive for people. (And hopefully I can finish it)
Any criticism/suggestions/whatever are welcome.
So, my friend wants to jump back into Polish darkrp server hosting, and I managed to convince him to let me set it up in a Vice City theme, since I've always loved that GTA, I have went ahead and created bunch of things for the server, like custom money entity, F4 menu, and a clothing shop - it all comes with those satisfying sounds from that GTA's era, and I think it came together pretty neatly.
Of course, there's been a reason why player models were taken off workshop (copyright, duh), we might have to settle on normal playermodels, but it is neat having over 100 playermodels in a clothing shop. I also probably should have pre-cached those models.
Issue with the money is, that the current implementation absolutely wrecks automatic shops due to being stationary - I guess we'll have to settle on some ATM chipreaders for that.
What comes next, is probably the hud.

If it's going to be on your server, which is highly populated (it's ASAP right?) - I'd advise making the looting, or opening of the package to take time to avoid randoms jumping in and snatching the loot away - I assume you don't drop your whole wallet on your server, so snatch and grab would be profitable even if you got killed afterwards.
That event will be highly looked after.
If you don't wanna do the timers, maybe render the plane on the skybox much further, and slower - so people can estimate where it's going to drop, and package slowly dropping to the floor would be the artificial "timer".
Right now the plane isn't really visible because downtown is such an urban and congested map, you won't be able to see where it's coming from before it drops.
People don't run that incredibly fast, so realistically you can shoot anyone that tries to loot before they get there. The 15 seconds timer to prevent instantly looting upon dropping is fine enough in my opinion, but we'll see when users get to try it out.
For now I decreased the planes speed to 650 u/s from 1000 u/s, and moved the plane 2500 units further up into the air

I think you should render that one time to RenderTarget. This will save FPS. Because your're rendering each frame
Indeed, but even generating it at runtime sounds laggy for me, maybe rendering chunks and then saving those in RTs will be the best way to go

I got into programming because of Garry's Mod and this community, and I decided to study computer science in university because I got into programming.
