Had to recode the DPanel so it can be sizable and clamps to the parent's size because DFrames don't like to parent other DFrames apparently. I plan on letting the player learn to write psuedocode and hack other player's networks, they'll learn to code from books they purchase. This isn't an RP gamemode though.
Incredibly rough around the edges, but I've been doing more HUD shit for the last day or so! I actually started this one last year then promptly forgot I was even re-learning Lua. The HUD floats around the muzzle of the weapon (or laser sight/ bolt in the case of the RPG/Crossbow, these two are a pain in the dick); [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/537396410599237135/93BD17DFFBC9DEF18BAE02DDE16C89A12F79CF09/[/t] And changes colour to warn you when your ammo is low. I can't think of how to access the magazine maximum however so this isn't a percentage of a magazine or anything like that. And yeah, the text slips off with some animations. Another thing is that a lot of attachments (on most game banana skins, the USP from MaxOfS2D's c_models) point at 90 degree angles, so the 3D2D panel might be misaligned based on how you're orienting it to the attachment.

I only ever use the position, the rotation of the surface is handled by another piece of logic to ensure it's always looking at the player. Though it gets a bit janky when passing over the positive/negative yaw horizon. Moving the actual background to a surface rect would solve my problems, but I aim to emulate the Dead Space style ammo indicator which is in the world and does change position a bit based on weapon (however it's actually anchored to the right arm of the player rather than the weapon, I just can't seem to find a suitable bone to position it off of).
