It is NOT sent in plain-text. A level of compression / protection has been applied to the files since GM13. If people extract cache from a private game-mode and claim they wrote it, it is stealing. Same as if people extract it and use it in their game-mode or addon... They intentionally bypassed the security in place to view the files. To me, that's stealing.
Personally, if people would just ask how I do this or that, that's fine. I'd help them out, but if they go behind my back and steal, they get no help from me.

I will tell you how it works:
You join server, server sends you list of file paths along with a hash of the files contents, your game looks up theses hashes in cache/lua, client requests files he doesn't have, client puts them into lua/cache, client decompresses files he already had, client runs all the files
The compression is only applied to minimize traffic/storage needed not to add any "protection" or security measures
Hell there is even a lua function that lets you decompress these files.
But in a time where servers put binary files on your pc, looking at what is being ran on your shouldn't be blackmarked
I'm sure that he's not meaning that decompressing a cached file it's stealing, i think that reading the file and using it, is stealing

I think we're going to see a lot more "unique" scripts when the end of September appears. I'm not a hater of CoderHire, but it's destroyed competition in servers, they're just fucking replicas.
