Okay after deleting my 'download' folder for a fifth time, it has now begun downloading corrupt versions of anything I put in there, regardless of it being bzipped or not. Windows cannot open any of the files.

Did so. It continues to attempt to download a bz2 version of things, then a wav version. Every file now has no size and cannot be opened that appears inside 'download'.
Are you sure that youve set the workshop thing correctly?
sv_allowdownload is 0, as he posted, so it is correctly, besides it downloaded them fine before. besides it gets ignored upon setting sv_downloadurl.
Are you sure that youve set the workshop thing correctly?
I'm not using the workshop, this is the point of a fastdl. Yes I cleared the workshop cache, if that's what you meant. And whitestar, I do not have access to rebooting it.
Well now I can't clear my workshop cache, after having done resource.AddWorkshop, I now have all the resources I needed, albeit not a solution to my problem. I deleted all the bz2 files from my fastdl, and now I only have one regular uncompressed file in there. This one it doesn't even try to download.
I misunderstood this post thinking you were now using workshop. How do you compress the files? I mean, with what configuration, beacouse the .bz2 if i dont remember badly, has to be setup with a certain configuration

And since it downloads the files, the resource file should be fine either.
Also, this might help you: http://forums.srcds.com/viewtopic/16702 Its a fastdl auto updater, wich compresses all the files and also copies the normal files without compressing them as well. I use that for my fastdl's

[editline]9th October 2015[/editline] He just didnt talk about having or not access to the web server

And whitestar, I do not have access to rebooting it.

I have correctly added the files to a lua file in the server autorun folder, where it uses resource.AddFile() and there is no bz2 extension. The bz2 is on the fastdl server, and it does download the files, like I said in the first post.
:speechless:
-dumb stuff-
You have just stated he does not have acces to reboot it, not to the files on it.
You have just stated he does not have acces to reboot it, not to the files on it.
But from the looks - if you'd see all the post - it seems like an Server from a Company - who nearly everytime have fastdl syncs. And the BZ2 files also look like its from an automatic sync + they dont need any "special" configuration at all, just compress, upload, done. I doubt he'd do that manually. [editline]9th October 2015[/editline] @OP Any response?
If hes on a hosting company, it SHOULD all be fine since they normally got an fastdl syncher. And since it downloads the files, the resource file should be fine either.
He just didnt state he couldnt access it
He just didnt state he couldnt access it
Dont doublepost.
Dont doublepost.
Just stating youre the one who does not read.
Just stating youre the one who does not read.
I've read through all the posts - he said by himself that you dont read(as posted above), and you even thought the whole times its workshop.. besides workshop does not compress it in BZ2 etc, and he said its fastdl, everything in the first post.

Just can we get back on topic now, and wait for the OP to respond? Could be, as I said, if its an shared host, that their servers are bugging.
I use 7zip to manually compress each individual file ino a bz2 archive. I am still only receiving corrupt files from the download if they are bz2 files, and if they are not compressed, then it doesn't even try to download them. EDIT: Sorry, I have classes all day today, so I may not be able to respond as quickly as I'd like
