I'm working on the model for this. Someone will have to code it for lifesupport tho. I'm capable of lua, but only what I have learned overnight. I ain't that good.
Your'e making a ZPM model or a container model? If a container model then Atlantis or SG1?
The atlantis one. The ZPM model already exists. Nobody cares about the SGC anymore, it's all about the magical city of atlantis :) (at least that's how it is in my head anyways :D)
Cue men in white coats
Meh my SG1 container is cooler than Atlatis container. ;)
Piccies?
I don't know how to post pics in this forum. :(
I don't know how to post pics in this forum. :(
Wirte no spcaes oh and you can upload the pictures on Imageshack type it in on google. [SUBJECT CHANGE] Lol, Can you make the ZPM overload? It would have to be a VERY big explosion compaired to the overload of over devices.
I have an idea for the ZPM slot/holder/interface/networker/thing. :siren: :D Use a prop that works similar to the supply connector in that when the ZPM is held near to one of the slots, it auto-magically snaps into place and the ZPM starts glowing (on). Unless I'm wrong and the ZPM always glows, but I didn't think it does.
You are correct the only time it glows is when it connected. The only reason mine always glows now is because I haven't coded not to.
[SUBJECT CHANGE] Lol, Can you make the ZPM overload? I think it would be the best model for holding a ZPM.
Read the whole thread please. :)
Hello guys, I've been coding the device seen above and just thought I share with you a bug I currently have. When you spawn the converter and then a zpm or vis versa it completely depletes the zpm. I just thought you guys might get a kick out of that.

Hehe, had a bit of fun playing around with this and the exponential stargate power settings. It took five stargates three minutes to drain the ZPM, dialling from one side of freespace06 to the other. The DHD lost power after half a second (and only powering one gate) ;) Good job :)
Oh I know that. I have watched more than enough of Stargate to know that these things utilize sub-space technonogy to contain the immense ammounts of energy in a small space. I just wonder what will it take to deplete one? I mean seriously, how many Stargates do you think ONE could power, and for how long? Then, add in the ability to create 3000 just because of the fact that it is the height of a large cup/jug, you could grow old, pass on, and they'd keep functioning until your compter got a virus and exploded. :wooow:
From The tests i ran with the ZPM on the [SGC] Server. When Trekkie0 was around. It took 20 stargates about 1-2 hours of being connected to get to 50% , 10 Gates connected to 10 gates on the farest planet. On a space map, Can't remember what one. Trekkie AKA Jack, Can Remember.

That is insane. :wooow: I can't believe you even got that far into depleting it. I never would've gotten past 80% even if the server was 100% Crash free (no time to do it).
It takes probably around couple lightyears/never won't if the outgoing gate has Iris/Shield on.
This would be great for powering planet-wide shields. Like setting the Space-Shield's max radius to 5000 (or over 9000) and protecting a planet. Also good for ultra-powerful space lasers.

If it has that and the SpaceShield, I could make a system like the Iris on the SG1 Stargate, where you can transmit a code to the planet, and it will de-activate the shield for a set time. If you get it wrong, then you are rejected from the atmosphere. That's be cool.
If i recall the space shield doesn't have wire support and it can only be toggled manualy. :(
I even made a special Reactor Container for it, with a screen showing the % left, and two cutoff valves for some random reason. Probably because having to switch 2 will buy that extra few seconds to kill the intruder.
I can only assume this container will be released as well? Sharing is a great thing, you know.
I can only assume this container will be released as well? Sharing is a great thing, you know.
Ok, I will upload the .txt, but it will be in a pack of the latest things I have found/made. INCLUDING: Personal Assault Hover Tank, V12 Engine, the container, and THE FASTEST SPACESHIP YOU NEVER SAW. I mean it too. This spaceship is virtually impossible to hit without an uber-targeting system, and it is so hard to fly, I didn't add weapons since those would miss 99.9999999% of the time. I will probably convert it into a battering ram, which are extremely effective in Spacebuild, AND with the fact that it only uses one prop, which is a PHX Metal 2x4, and the rest is the seat and the LS. No hoverballs either, so that removes all doubt that it is slow.
I can only assume this container will be released as well? Sharing is a great thing, you know.
Err, he means something he made in-game, not a model.
ZPM is now up on Avon's Stargate SVN. http://stargatepack.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/
Jdm12989, I modified it a bit. It used my Stargate Lib's wire/Resource Distrib compatibility layer (nothing special) and I omptimized it's behaviour. Also added a spawnstool. When you want, you can take the SENT code over to yours.
Awesome. Nothing more to say.
Edit: Wow. I will gonna need it :P
By the way, I just read you thought about the idea making a ZPM overload and explode. Well, that's not a good idea: A ZPM creates it's own universe, separated to ours. From this, it is taking vacuum energy (Zero Point Energy, because on every point in a universe how we know is energy due to quantum fluctuations). Vacuum energy is so less that it will never reach a critical ammount Anyway, Rodney Mc'Kay also said on the earlier Atlantis Seasons, a ZPM is the ultimate way of getting energy: No waste, great amounts of power, no need to fear any risks. Making the ZMP overloading and explode might be as silly as Martin Loyd's idea "The singularity explodes" (Episode #199, "200").
But what about the ZPM the SGC get from Camulus in season 8. They said, that if they had put it in the ancient outpost that it blows up some solarsystems, it was carged to 50% as far as I remember.
It was tainted i believe aswell. It had that weird glow when put under that radiation was it? Also in that atlantis episode, if they used the cloak the zpm would have overloaded because some of the safeguards were disabled. If i remember right :). Hmm i can't remember where i was going with this now... ah well.
