I'm voting for the tf2 gamemode, just because kuro emailed me this
A vote for _Kilburn is a vote for FREEDOM!
Tf2 Gamemode woop woop :v:
UCH is gaining on it. :aaa:
Forgive my dumb question, but in order to use OpenAura we have to buy it?
Forgive my dumb question, but in order to use OpenAura we have to buy it?
Yes, it's a commercial product.
Yes, it's a commercial product.
It's fucking 200 Euros. Not worth it, IMO.
So... what's open about it?
Yes, it's a commercial product.
So why the fuck is it eligible to win a prize? A prize that could go towards people who haven't already made a return on their investment.
So... what's open about it?
It's a product name. It doesn't need to make any sense, it just needs to sound appealing. :v:
It's a product name. It's open as you can modify it. Also, just because most people run HL2RP Server with it, it doesn't mean you can't code own gamemodes with it. My opinion is he should make a free 6-User-License or something so developers can work with it without buying it. (Or would you buy something you have never tested to code with?)
(Or would you buy something you have never tested to code with?)
No, but you're the one selling it.
I'm voting for the tf2 gamemode, just because kuro emailed me this [img_thumb]http://i54.tinypic.com/2dkbhc6.png[/img_thumb]
Should probably contact the webmas-oh wait.
No, but you're the one selling it.
First of all - it's we. We are doing the Licensing - it's up to the Author. We can't just create a free 6-User-License because the author doesn't want it.
I voted for Ultimate Chimera Hunt ! Awesome Mode <3
nevermind*
i vote for the ultimate chimera :P you can hack tf2 easily to play it on hl2 maps.(really)
i vote for the ultimate chimera :P you can hack tf2 easily to play it on hl2 maps.(really)
Have fun playing HL2 maps without any enemy to shoot at. :v:
ya its hard to convert the enemies :P [editline]9th February 2011[/editline] Actually :P i like both the tf2 and the Uch gamemode. But i stick to the Uch
Somehow, I doubt it's as easy as copying and pasting the tf2 files into your gamemode directory. Also, just to clarify the reason why OpenAura is eligible is because Conna provided me personally the source as per the original rules.
Voting for _Kilburn's Team Fortress 2 gamemode for the award.
Uch Is a pretty unique Gamemode, I'm Very Surprised on how Well the animations work in-game and it's Pretty Balanced in Gameplay. Though I don't see to many Servers playing the gamemode, So I havn't had a Good game in a while. It was Hard to choose Between Uch and The Tf2 gamemode. Both Have The Pottential to quickly Catch a Random downloader's Attention, but I think the Effort Put into Adding Features as well to making sure the code is clean should count as well. So after alot of Thought, I decided to put my Vote in for The Team Fortress 2 gamemode. It Has the most Content out of all the Gamemodes i've seen so Far, And Unlike Chimera Hunt, you can use The Gamemode like Sandbox As long As you aren't using a Team Fortress 2 map, So You Can switch Back to using a normal Gmod Player model while players in the same Server Can use The Tf2 Cast at the Same time. I havn't Able to get it working on my Server Hosted by brohoster (I'm thinking it's the outdated game content), and It's still a WIP. But In my personal opinion The amount of effort Put into it over the last year and how far it has gone in progress, Has Far Exceeded the amount of Content Uch Provides.
I definitely vote for TF2 gamemode. I tried it 20 mins, and it was really funny! Thump up _Kilburn!
ohh so would you kindly share this not-good c++ code with us?
In my successful quest to run OA on Linux, I made these: Here's the lua equivalent of the core module in Lua: http://pastie.org/1547064 Here's the lua equivalent of the "relative" module in Lua: http://pastie.org/1547067 Here's an ugly rewrite of the fileio module so you can recompile it: http://pastie.org/1547073 The other two modules are sourcenet and tmysql. EDIT: This is 1.08 BTW.
Please Don't Capitalize Random words if you Wish not To Be rated Dumb, because Although your points Are Good you Write Like An Illiterate.
That's Sadly a habit I've been having trouble kicking, but thanks for the tip....
TF2, makes me happy.
so kuro, how about that uncrackable OA of yours
so kuro, how about that uncrackable OA of yours
I never said it would be uncrackable? That would be arrogant. [editline]10th February 2011[/editline]
Please Don't Capitalize Random words if you Wish not To Be rated Dumb, because Although your points Are Good you Write Like An Illiterate.
Their primary language may differ from yours, and may not understand capitalization. You still understood what they said so why comment on the way they communicated it to you?
