luasearch doesn't have useful descriptions about things though, I've been using google's cache'd versions
-snip-
Oh, I haven't tought about the cache, you are right.
Yeah this is gone right now as I've moved to a new domain and bought my own VPS a few months ago. I removed a lot of old things that didn't seem to be used anymore back then. I'll see if I can upload a recent mirror of the wiki I took a few weeks ago but it's probably going to take forever to upload on my shitty dsl.

Ok well I cut out a lot of crap from my current mirror and it's around 200MB zipped now so please wait 40 mins and I got it online.
Why use HTTrack (which seems to fail at collecting some sites comprehensively), when one can just use some wget magic? :V

[editline] oh yeah and by the by [/editline]
Totally didn't even see it, cool zip by the by. Thanks for providing a copy.
[editline] LOL [/editline]
Laughing at myself now. This thread is from fucking 2010.
Yeah good idea I should use wget in the future, also avoids a lot of uploading. Too bad I didn't know linux back in 2010.

Thanks a lot. Using the google's cache was painful. Back to coding for me. :eng101:

Now the Wiki backup is down
Seriously, what is happening with the wikis?
I'm uploading the zip he posted above you to my site now. If mine goes down next I'll just kill myself.

Our XX node (which you have one or more VPS's on) is currently down, it has been physically disconnected by our datacenter
because one particular client was running a UDP flood. Their VPS had already been terminated at the time the node was
disconnected, and we are currently working to have it brought back online asap. I will keep you updated...
I fucking hate DoS kids that ruin shared environments like VPSes with their 'Putty Booters'.
Have no fear! http://bananatree.im/wiki/wiki.garrysmod.com/index4875.html?title=Main_Page
Strange. UDP floods @ fanatical should have been a thing of the past..

Thanks! I hope this won't go down too.

Don't jinx it dammit!
Strange. UDP floods @ fanatical should have been a thing of the past..
You will never be able to fully stop it because although UDP is blocked on default, you can still request it to be unblocked and still flood the fuck out of a VPS.
Anyways I made cloudflare point to another VPS I own which will redirect the wiki to banana's site for now.
silly maurits and all his vpses

A copy of the download maurits put up before - but it's a couple hundred KB smaller :eng101:

What happened to the official one?
What happened to the official one?
A VPS user on the same node as the VPS that hosted the official one sent a UDP flood; which caused the node to be unplugged by the datacenter (Who despite the problem being resolved, still haven't plugged it back in)
What happened to the official one?
Good question, I went on it yesterday and apparently garry just redirected to maur's copy, and now his is pointing to mine.

I think he's referring to the one garry hosted

Perhaps he's making the switch over to his new wiki.
