Bump to keep alive.
Hurrah for the bump!!! is this thing still alive? Is it even being worked on anymore? I would really like you to patch up what you have at the moment and release it. Just call it v1 or something. You DO have all the things you need to make it work at the moment, right? With at lest a death or two to show us what’s going to come because I’m starting to wonder if this thread is worth keeping up with or not any more.
I get the impression that it works, but there are a few problems here and there and so he's refusing to release because of complaints and nagging.
BINGO!!! Give this guy a cookie!
It tastes like shit without a Death Note SWEP to accompany it....
If you don't finish it.. Edit: Also, I think that right click would give you the shinigami eyes so you could see people and just click on them to write their name.
Or not if you release whatever you have so far...
No. Sorry to be blunt, but all you'd have is a disfunctional script.
Totally, Totally, Sexy.
No. Sorry to be blunt, but all you'd have is a disfunctional script.
Then please, for the sake of all that's good and pure, finish as best you can, and unleash this mighty SWEP upon your tormentors.
I would love a dysfunctional script, you know all those console spams would be great. I have a Death Note FYI and it is epic.
So Grea$emonkey, did you like my "Angel of death" idea?
I got an idea, might suck but hey.. If there are any players nearby the player you chose to kill, that player will be forced to kill the targeted player. Also, the possesed player will be immortal untill the deed is done =3 Hope it's worth a shot.
All of you people saying all these "amazing" and "fantastical" ideas like the Angel of death and the forced player to immortality and kill another player thing would require sv_cheats 1, no override in Lua would change that.
All of you people saying all these "amazing" and "fantastical" ideas like the Angel of death and the forced player to immortality and kill another player thing would require sv_cheats 1, no override in Lua would change that.
They would not require that. Sounds and entities can be spawned through lua. Lua wouldn't be any good if it requires cheats to be on for everything. Cheats is only if I want to use an engine based console command.
All of you people saying all these "amazing" and "fantastical" ideas like the Angel of death and the forced player to immortality and kill another player thing would require sv_cheats 1, no override in Lua would change that.
Wrong. [lua]player:GodEnable();[/lua]
I thought God mode is a console command, and I just thought through it and realized you could easily make someone immortal through Lua. :)
Who said anything about god mode?
One quick question, because I may be able to help you on this, do you have any sounds for it yet? I am quite famous for my sound generation.
One quick question, because I may be able to help you on this, do you have any sounds for it yet? Well when I said god mode I was talking about the making a player kill another player, but that goes against the death note because you can't do something that would affect 2 people with only 1 name and the second you write down 2 names both people would die.
I know this, I just finished watching the last episode last week. Damn good tv show and I was hoping to expand my horizons by getting more things about it. I have an L t-shirt (Jesus, why?!), a death note back-pack, a Death Note is coming in the mail soon(I'm gonna go Mikami on that thing, KAMI! :D), and now a death note in Garrysmod. Yay!
Who said anything about god mode?
Someone was suggesting that the Deathnote would possess someone, making them immortal, and then making that player uncontrollably angry, and attacking the target of the note. Eg - Causing a random player to become the intrument of death.

E.g. Stray gunshot kills guy 1, guy 2 (guy who fired) shoots self due to emotional trauma.
But you can have someone kill someone else by accident, provided the killer also dies. E.g. Stray gunshot kills guy 1, guy 2 (guy who fired) shoots self due to emotional trauma.
I guess that would work, but would be difficult in Lua.
Record a video of yourself shouting DELETE! DELETE! while writing Lua coders names in the notebook.
I swear I remember Mikami saying "Eliminate," not delete. Delete is "dari-to", eliminate is "Sakujou" or something. I'm taking Japanese right now which is how I got to love anime like Death Note. I could ask my teacher on Monday, really. He loves Death Note too. Edit: In the anime he says "Sakujou" and the manga he says "Delete" (just got my "How to Read" book from B&N :D)
I haven't read all the posts so I don't know if someone tell you how to play scences I have a good idea. Here is a link for Choreography idk if it could be use for Garry's mod. I hope I helped: http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Category:Choreography Here is an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehUY674J7rw
