Download Model Manipulator. You can turn any NPC into any Ragdoll if they have the same skeleton.

Tried Clean Gmod? Maybe you got critical bug in some lua files? Firstly authorize your gmod download, then copy gmod folder to other place and then try to run. If won't help, I'll search for something else... but I presume you knew this all ;)

I have the latest dx, drivers etc. My computer has just been acting stragnely since i reformated. FOr instance, windows update hangs when I try to download anything .NET related :/

So try older drivers (last working ver if you remember it). HL2 have older engine. Try to download .NET stuff from Microsoft site, not WinUpdate. My friend reformatted last time and wrong installed something. Then his STALKER wasn't worked. Your system must need something :/

Since the 9/17/09 video (and since your gmod went haywire), how much have you progressed?
Ralle, try clean-sweeping GMod by renaming the "steamapps/*username*/garrysmod/garrysmod" folder to "steamapps/*username*/garrysmod/garrysmod old". Then try seeing if you can run the clean GMod. If you can, slowly copy stuff from "garrysmod old" into the new garrysmod, so you can narrow down whats causing the problem.

It clearly not just Garry's mod that's messing up it's all his steam games, so it probably a problem with his computer, or his steam account.

Oh and, @itak365: If you mean blood decals, theres tons on garrysmod.org that replace HL2's ketchup splats. Just search blood, or decal.

I tried renaming the folder, but it didn't work :/ I'm pretty sure the problem lies in that I'm unable to install .NET Framework. Any ideas on what could be wrong with that?

I know, I have the horror blood. But I was looking for certain ones usable for the paint tool, like "blood streak" "hand print," etc.

Did you try putting -autoconfig in your launch options?
or any firewall blocking it?
