Maybe you don't know but whole new GS is so complicated cuz of lack of needed functions. There is no way to make custom models throught lua with physics and hitboxes...

Edit:
If you know way how to (but tested and working), then tell me. It could simplify GS and make it more elastic

You're asking for too much, L4D2's models were specificly made for gore.

It's just another effect, created with beams. A decal could be applied to the stomach of the victim to make it look as if it were gutted, and the effect would be spawned. Just a few gibs roped together with will give the effect wanted.

But L4D2 has complex bodygroups to make ribcages and the like exposed. A decal won't do justice.

Many decals in Source fuck up on models, if this was to happen for all HL2 ragdolls + custom ones we'd have to set an exact point where the decal would be sprayed.

But one thing this does have that l4d2 doesn't... dismemberable corpses. Goddammit when I take a machete to a corpse I expect it to slice dice and muthafuckin tenderize, not just make it jiggle a bit.
