Actually I like the bone breaking sound :( [editline]12:34PM[/editline]
Also i've been wondering, not trying to rain on your parade ralle but what is the point of having the skeleton? Will the skeleton only appear when the corpse is left for a while? I can't think of any weapon thats already in the game to actually remove the flesh but leave the bone so I would find skeletons to be impracticable. If you coded a laser weapon that removes the flesh but leaves the bone it would just turn out to be a gimmick and another swep already does that. Is the skeleton really needed?
If you shoot the living shit out of it flesh can be removed :P

I think noone suggested this but...could you create an effect similiar to Fallout 3's crits from Plasma/pulse/electric weapons where enemy just turns into ash pile?Maybe add not burnt limbs sticking out or something. That could fit combine ball and all energy deaths :D
Aha, wow. Good thinking Greer. :v:
Epic win. :3 But i hope that it wont lag too much.
-snip-
Nice video!
Here's hoping Gibsplat 2 will be faithful to the original concept. (As in, not totally realistic and boring)
The dislocating is gonna be really cool. If I can throw a toilet at my brother with the gravity gun, kill him, and break his legs from the force I will be really happy. Here's to a DeathFix version.
Man, I hope this will work with the new version of ragmod.
Wait, does this seperate limb thing mean we have to have seperate limbs for all ragdolls? :raise:
Wait, does this seperate limb thing mean we have to have seperate limbs for all ragdolls? :raise:
It means 15 extra models and gibbing for all human models.
Will it support custom models,ie master chief and other such nonsense?
I want badly, I never even thought something like this was possible. Then here comes the lua train to prove me wrong! With the best community ever, literally anything is possible! Quite reassuring, I wish you the best in your work, can't wait for a projected release.
Will it support custom models,ie master chief and other such nonsense?
I was ganna ask that
I love you. So very much.
What happens when a masked model is hit in the head? Anyways, best of luck!
Will they twitch and bleed?
I think he said he'd try to implement it.
I noticed somthing in gmod when you shoot Kliener or Magnuson in the head they fall down without their heads flying off, but if you shoot them in the neck their heads fall away. It's seems like as far as gibing goes it be more realistic to handle it in a similar way, you know shoot their neck and their heads fall off shoot their face with, say the magnum or the alt fire on the shotgun and their heads explode, just a thought...
It means 15 extra models and gibbing for all human models.
So these 15 models are custom limbs that can be used in any ragdoll and take the form of the ragdoll's actual limbs?
So these 15 models are custom limbs that can be used in any ragdoll and take the form of the ragdoll's actual limbs?
I think he uses the models for the physical part of the ragdoll, so he don't have to copy X time the actual ragdoll when you cut a limb. So it give a performance boost. I guess that any ragdoll that use the same rigging as valve, will be compatible.
Will it support custom models,ie master chief and other such nonsense?
If they're based on the human bone structure. So, Ralle, will you add effect like crit attack from energy/pulse/plasma weapons in Fallout 3 where enemy turns into ash pile?Maybe you could add diff stuff like limbs that didnt fully burn stuck in it or around place.I think it would fit all those energy deaths in Hl2 like combine ball/lasers/etc
You should make it when the NPCs are on fire they, like twitch rapidly on the ground, like until the first burnt layer shows up or something. :v:
Garrys mod will now be a new generation of gaming. :clint:
Will you be using the effects from your gore-mod, like blood dripping, spurting blood from stumps and blood pooling? Because, they were awesome.
Will you be using the effects from your gore-mod, like blood dripping spurting blood from stumps and blood pooling?
No, I will use effects from ep2.
Aw well, still gonna be buckets'O awesome
