I think it would be nice to be able to have a grid that I can set the size of and a feature that snaps everything to the grid.
Wow this is pretty intense. I've always been lazy with Derma, you are now my hero. Thanks a bunch!
Say's I need .NET Framework 4.0? [editline]10:35PM[/editline] Oh .NET Framework 4.0 is out? o.0 Hadn't Microsoft only just released 3.5?
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9cfb2d51-5ff4-4491-b0e5-b386f32c0992&displaylang=en
Nice work.
Yea, to be honest, I think that feature sucks too :/ You have to press Ctrl, as far as I know. I'm lucky if I get to parent something, cause I hold Ctrl and just spam both mouse keys until something has been sat. :P
Thanks it work
It's technically Shift, it was in my update notes.
Nope, I changed it to control, I didn't just throw your thing on the SVN.
Nice Work :) How can change the parenting I try to make my button parenting to my DFrame but it say [Not set] and I can't change it.
You have to hold ctrl and move the panel you're dragging over the panel you want to parent it to. The key is you have to move it AFTER you've pressed the shift key. I don't even know what these frameworks are for, I just download the biggest legit number I see.
2,147,483,647? That's the biggest legit number I see. [sp] I don't understand your post [/sp]
He tried to say that he is dumb for .Net, period. Boyo, .Net is a kit of wrapper DLL's to bind C# functions used by C# applications to real system functions. So it is something like LuaJIT - reads the file, and tells the system what to do. It is good, because: - the source code don't have to be optimized for all PC separately - it is done by JIT before run. - the programming is much more easier - the creation of owner classes, namespaces and other things (like functions) has a lot less limitation - the final application runs the same way on every PC - even on Linux! (as it has it's own .Net port, called Mono) Disadvantages: - You need specific version of the wrapper (MS said it will change from .Net 4.0) - Sometimes slow application running - cannot be portablized because the need of the framework But I think, in my eyes, the pro's are much more, and a lot better than the contra's.
.NET is super nice to use because it takes all this stuff you've always needed to code for yourself and patch it into one function or a few lines of code The problem: Portability The solution: Projects like Mono

There was a project called Portable.Net, but it was discontinued. The main idea was, to redirect the calls of JIT and the exe to a given set of DLL's (what are of course the official .Net libraries, with a simple modification to be portable), but they have failed to do it :S

Bah, erase your mind of keystrokes for DD. The only keystroke that induces parenting is CNTRL, the rest were either older versions or messing up when posting. :ms:
Why on earth did we change it? It was a silly thing to do.
Gbps Just a question. In the updater, why do you use two separate functions to download the update? The GetBuildVersion() function is meaningless, you could just put the Regex buildfinder = new Regex("Build([0-9][0-9][0-9]).zip") to the Client.DownloadFile() call!
Can't wait till the stuff i want to use are added to this :D
What should I do next then?
Please do DListView & DPanelList :D
DPropertSheet would be awesome
It would be nice with having a Load function too.
this is awesome, I find Derma really fiddly to work with trying to place frames and buttons manually (as in by coding the positions) and this would give me more time to design the frames and stuff instead of actually implementing them
It would be nice with having a Load function too.
Oh, nonono! We only want the saving feature. Why the hell would we wanna Load something again?
Well, if someone has been working on someting and needs to shut the computer down and wants to be able to load his work again the next day?
... You arent the brightest kid, are you?
No I'm not. But I would like it tho. It's just a suggestion.
Okay, just to cut it out for you: They're making, possibly already done with, a saving feature. So ofcourse they'll add a loading feature. I was being sarcastic.
Thanks. Well, I don't care about you bean sarcastic tho.
Heh, don't mock him, sarcasm is not designed for being read. :v:
Wasent mocking him. Well, I didnt intend to, lol. I just thought he'd figure it out.
