A lot of the buttons don't seem to work on my Android Galaxy.
A lot of the buttons don't seem to work on my Android Galaxy.
We currently do not have a mobile version of the site, core features are the priority right now. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Good news everyone! I've added cloudflare, SSL and we're running off our dedi now.
Good news everyone! I've added cloudflare, SSL and we're running off our dedi now.
Which doesn't change the fact that it's a wordpress page with plugins on it. Why don't you get it done all custom?
Which doesn't change the fact that it's a wordpress page with plugins on it. Why don't you get it done all custom?
they probably cant code PHP much. :o
I agree with this discussion about coding - if you have to use Wordpress from scratch, it seems like you're more trying to make a coin from the market rather than having a genuine interest, and this in all markets seem to be set for failure, when ("rich") business people come to make a market out of something without the knowledge of it.
I agree, WordPress is not a good platform for these kind of sites. It's just got too much clutter that you won't need - the only reason to use it here is for the plugins, and it's really not a good idea to use other peoples plugins all together to make a marketplace website. As I said before, WordPress is good for two main things. 1. A blog - as it was intended to be in the first place. 2. A marketing site ( not a marketplace site ) where WordPress makes a fairly decent CMS to easily edit the content using Advanced Custom Fields, but even then it's got a lot of un-wanted clutter.

As mentioned in the original post, "We are proud to release this as experienced server owners and modders. We are not professional web developers; however, we gave it our best shot and will continue to do so. We are currently very active and constantly improving our site". We have been investing all our time in this and will continue to do so. All of the improvements that have been made since that was posted would have been impossible without the support and feedback we've been getting here, so thank you everyone. Edit: I'd also like to add that if we wanted to make a coin, there are so many better ways to do so. We simply wanted to offer a different platform with different features and more freedom for developers.
We are not professional web developers
Well you should at least get an advisor to let you know that you're whole website is turning away viewers with the conflicting colors, this, this, etc. [T]http://i.atomik.info/1461115609.png[/T] If you simply want to offer a different platform for developers, that won't happen. I may have not been reading enough, but what exactly do you mean
more freedom for developers
?

( Not saying this to be rude or an asshole ) just being honest.
Where are you getting that error? I might have fixed it already. (Thanks for pointing it out in advance by the way.) Also, feel free to add me on Steam to show you all the developer tools first hand to understand what I mean by that. Last but not least, the Scripts are now all aligned on the category and home page as suggested earlier. I will let you all know when we are nearing version 1.0 (still a bit to do).
Well you should at least get an advisor to let you know that you're whole website is turning away viewers with the conflicting colors, ?
That's why we're here, for input from all of you guys, which we really do appreciate!
If you simply want to offer a different platform for developers, that won't happen. I may have not been reading enough, but what exactly do you mean ?
We've mentioned this in various posts, but here are a few examples: -Ability to sell scripts for many different games. -Ability to request any game to be added. -No monthly fee. -Ability to make free scripts. -If your script doesn't sell, we don't charge. You can find more features in our original post.
How do you plan to 'approve' all of the scripts that come though, Do you know how to mod all of the games you allow selling for? If not what do you plan to do to stop malicious stuff like that? Not hating just a legit question.

Anyways, each paid script is analyzed in order to ensure it is functional and safe. If we support a game, it's because we know how to deal with it. In case we are unsure, we can even go to the extent of contacting the developer. In the occasion that we missed anything, it is abnormally simple to contact us so we can take action immediately.
what are you planning on charging, in the op you say all the money goes directly to the developer
I believe you are misunderstood; we said that the money from sales goes directly to you. We have a sliding commission that decreases as your sales increase. What this means is: if you don't sell any of your script, we charge nothing; and the more you sell, the less we charge. We have an automatic payment system in place, so you receive your money instantaneously. The starting commission is 10%. Any other questions?
Also, I dont mean to be "That guy" but the design is rather bad. It feels the styling does not match and nothing feels categorized (For example the home page feels like a mess to me). Im not designer so I cannot really give you any tips to improve it but from a consumer standpoint I feel it needs improving.

Thanks.
The categories are under the scripts tab and you also just gave me a brilliant idea I'll implement on version 1. Thanks.
Alright well once the improvements are done if you need any help, like populating scripts or even a mod then im sure I can help in my free time. I dont have a problem with scriptfodder but I dont have a problem with there being another one done by someone else, Who knows something better could come of it.
The categories are under the scripts tab and you also just gave me a brilliant idea I'll implement on version 1. It's really huge at the moment and it also doesn't highlight anything when you move your mouse over them [del]which makes me as a user feel as if I have no control over what I'm clicking on as if I'm a simple working class peasant with little or no rights or control over my actions[/del]
We prioritize the devlopers so..... We pay the fees! Also, thanks for the support 0V3RRID3. Edit: Just saw the last post. Actually, there is a highlight but its so darn light that you barely see it. We'll make it darker!
You should read pickle's post ^^
I'm talking about paypal's fees.
I'm talking about paypal's fees.
What do you mean? We pay for those, like Sleggie said. Also, about being a slow road to bankruptcy: we're not in it for the money, so I think we'll be OK.
This site is incredibly suspicious..
This site is incredibly suspicious..
They mean well so far, but their methods of trying to create a new platform are just impractical.
This site is incredibly suspicious..
I'm glad so many of you disagree! [editline]20th April 2016[/editline]
You kinda need money to be "in it." Guess we'll just see how long this code forage lasts.
I understand that cash flow is an integral part, but what I meant was that we won't be trying to maximize profits or anything. We'd rather provide for the developers than ourselves.
Over the span of a year, PayPal has taken about $1500 in fees on one of my scripts alone.. I doubt you'd be able to pay for the fees for very long if the site gains some popularity
What we're forgetting here as well is that Script Fodder won't last forever - and when it does finally go ( depending of course on how long that is ) - it would be handy to have another one lined up. Even if at the moment this doesn't have much popularity, that's not to say they can't build people's trust. It may take time, as does everything, but it's nice to see people giving a new site a chance. Plus it's common for a business model to change as a site grows. If they have to start charging developers a small amount to cover fees, but it still beats ScriptFodder then that's not bad, as long as the site is well made. I'm sure CoderHire didn't get it absolutely right from the word go, but when they were ready to release and start taking developers, it was a decent place to sell scripts. And even if this didn't work out, it's still taught the creators a lot, so you can't really loose here. At the end of the day, it's up to the developers if and when they feel ready to use it or need it.
